Join us on this weeks episode as we talk about a haunted doll from Illinois that is locked away in a small cedar chest, hidden from the world.  Her name is Joliet and she has been in one family for over a century passed down from mother to daughter for four generations.  The doll's dark reputation is tied to an unsettling curse that affects the families children. The family refuses to destroy Joliet, fearing retribution.  Join us as we talk about the curse of Joliet and some of the strange things that happen when she's around.

On this episode of the podcast Kara is back from her trip to Seattle and she is telling us about the Freemont Troll and a Halloween party they have in his honor!      We are also talking about Aliens and how they don't need ships they can use our dreams as doorways! We are also talking a phenomenon called shared dreaming  and this is when more than one person dreams of the same entity/ thing... on the same night without ever meeting!  It's very unsettling that something-or someone-might be poking around in our unconscious minds.  So are these just dreams? Or are they mass hallucinations, physic projection, or real contact with other beings thru dreams.

On this episode we are talking about the haunted Sloss Furnace of Birmingham, Alabama.  These furnaces helped power the city for over 100 years.

The furnace is  said to be haunted by a former forman who was mean and cruel to his workers.  His name was James "Slag" Wormwood and people think he is now a demonic spirit who now haunts the furnace and physically assaults visitors.  we hope you enjoy this haunted history story.

On today's episode we are covering two stories about haunted places!  Our first story is all about Stepp Cemetery outside of Bloomington, Indiana.  This cemetery is apparently home to a Lady in Black who is believed to watch over and protect the dead people that live in the cemetery.  Our other story is all bout the Haunted Clown Motel that is two hours away from Las Vegas and has a cemetery right next to it.  It is said the hotels original owner is buried in the cemetery right next to the hotel and sometimes you can see the owner roaming around the graveyard or in the hotel!

On this episode we are talking about a Mexican Folklore creature called the "La Lechutza"!  This creepy owl witch creature is said to be a 7 foot owl monster with the face of an old women.  The Lechutza will come out at night looking for its victims. It is said it tries to lure you out of your home by making either an annoying whistling noise or crying like a baby.  

This creature is said to be found in Mexico near Cancun and also in southern Texas near the Corpus Christi.  Be sure to listen along as we tell you all about this creepy Owl Witch creature!

As we wrap up season four of the podcast we thought it would fitting if we talk about Yule which is the celebration of the winter solstice. Kara tells us about how different countries celebrate Christmas and the winter solstice and the many folk stories about different creatures that visit during the holiday season.    I have two Yule stories to share with our listeners about a scarecrow and a spider!  We wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season and a Happy New Year! 

We will be taking a month off to spend time with friends and family but will return on Jan 17, 2025!  We look forward to the New Year and sharing lots of new adventures and stories  with our listeners.
