Two Smokes Podcast

Okay, I tried a bunch of descriptions for this one… Let’s just say I wanted to keep talking about Jessica Alba!

(Art by Smokin’ Crew member @erijah) The Rat learned Moby Dick from Star Trek, but it’s a good analog for the single minded fanaticism we are seeing grow in this country. We talk about why it may happen, how it grows and what, if anything, can be done to stop it. For those who may … Continue reading Season 3 Episode 15 – Call me Ishmael

This week we focus on the impact of anti trust laws, and how not enforcing them threatens society. From the shows and movies you watch, the music you listen to, and the games you play – lack of competition ain’t good. Oh and Thundersnow makes a joke that derails The Rat. Again. Like always.

This week, based on a drunken tweet from the Rat, we take on the last group of folks you are allowed to go after – the deviants. Believe me, this was a hysterically trying thing to talk about with a man that makes vanilla look like Rob Lowe on a coke rampage in a sorority … Continue reading Season 3 Episode 13 – Handcuff Your Heroes

How fitting that the first installment of this well though out and planned bit should take the form of the Rat using his beloved math to come back after the episode to agree with me as if he was just struck by a lightning bolt from Valhalla. If you recall, in the episode I was … Continue reading Oh Fuck, I Forgot – The Premier

This week, the Rat gets his tail twisted over the state of rock music and wades into a conversation he was ill-prepared for. Yes, for the very first time, we discuss music on the show! Unfortunately, his frame of reference is limited to “Bands whose logos have been printed on raglan softball shirts”. Also stay … Continue reading Season 3 Episode 12 – Have a Cigar

This week we are looking at the prevalence of comedy news programs, wondering if perhaps the chuckles are just not worth the potential for folks to buy into a subject based on the satire of an anchorman.

The specter of death hovers above me as I painstakingly typo all the things, yet manage to upload this weeks episode. Big shout out to the Rat for his jumping in to hel… (AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH). What I feel was a very good analogy for self-selection as protection against subculture prejudice was turned into a bit – … Continue reading Season 3 Episode 10 – Ram Rod!

We wanted to slow down, address some emails and tweets, and generally decompress after a loooong week – but stay for the last extra-time when the Rat does “Tales from the Pub”

What better way to spend a dark and stormy night than to gather around the Tin Man’s Noodle to discuss the matter of exactly how much control one has over any of their social circles or ingroups?   The Rat laments his political party leaving him and Thundersnow discusses ‘Shouting Fire: Stories from the Edge of … Continue reading Season 3 Episode 8 – Time’s Making Changes
