Episode 22: Can I Ask You Something? | Single
Part 2
What really goes on when you build a life entirely on your own terms?
In Part 2 of this special interview series, Aqueelah flips the script and asks Ashley the questions so many women have wondered but never had the chance to ask. Not to judge. Not to compare. Simply to understand.
From freedom and loneliness to dating, identity, family pressure, timelines, and the everyday decisions that shape single life, nothing is off limits. Ashley opens up about her singleness with a level of honesty she’s never shared publicly — reflecting on the expectations she’s faced, the realities she’s living, and the woman she’s still becoming.
This isn’t a debate between marriage and singleness. It isn’t relationship advice. And it certainly isn’t a blueprint for how anyone else should live.
It’s one woman’s lived experience.
Whether you’re single, dating, engaged, married, divorced, or somewhere in between, this conversation invites you to listen with curiosity instead of comparison. Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is understand a life that looks different from our own.

Episode 22: Can I Ask You Something? | Marriage
What really goes on inside a marriage?
In Part 1 of this special interview series, Ashley flips the script and asks Aqueelah the questions so many women have thought but never had the chance to ask. Not to judge. Not to compare. Simply to understand.
From sacrifice and partnership to identity, motherhood, loneliness, intimacy, and the everyday decisions that shape married life, nothing is off limits. Aqueelah opens up about her marriage with a level of honesty she’s never shared publicly, reflecting on the expectations she had, the realities she’s faced, and the woman she’s still becoming.

This is Part 2 of TTCBT Ruins Your Child: Y2K Creeper.
We saved this part for last. Because some stories deserve to be the ones you leave with.
In the middle of the Chris Stokes conversation, there is a name that deserves more than a footnote. A boy who had one of the most extraordinary voices the Black music community has ever heard. A young man who spoke up about what happened to him — publicly, painfully, and at great personal cost. And a life that was cut far too short.
This part of the conversation is dedicated to him. Not just the tragedy. Not just the allegations. But the talent, the beauty, and the very real human being behind the story. Because Quindon Tarver was more than what was done to him — and if you don't know his name, you should.
Two Things Can Be True: he was one of the most gifted voices of his generation. And the industry failed him completely.
This one's for Quindon Tarver. Get in the group chat.

TTCBT Ruins Your Childhood Series: Y2K Creeper (Chris Stokes)
You know the music. You grew up on it. But do you know the man who made it?
Chris Stokes built the careers of some of the biggest names in R&B — B2K, Omarion, Immature, Marques Houston. He also spent nearly twenty years at the center of allegations that never made it to a courtroom, never got a documentary, and never got the reckoning that comparable stories have. The industry kept moving. So did he.
Two Things Can Be True Ruins Your Childhood is a new series inside where we revisit the people behind the moments that defined us. No nostalgia without accountability.
Episode 1 is Chris Stokes. We are going there — the career, the allegations, the timeline, and the silence. Some things don’t get resolved. But they deserve to be said out loud.
We loved that music. Some of us still do. But we’re grown now — and we have questions.

Episode 20: We’re Running Our Mouths
This week, we’re doing what we do best: pulling up a chair, hitting record, and seeing where the conversation takes us.
We kick things off Ashley’s talking about RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy) and the surprising insights she’s uncovering about her personality, relationship patterns, and the stories she’s been carrying around longer than she realized. From self-awareness to self-accountability, we get into the messy, funny, and sometimes uncomfortable work of figuring yourself out.
And then… the conversation takes several scenic detours.
We’re talking relationships, personal growth, random observations, life lately, and all the little side quests our brains love to take. By the end, we’ve somehow landed in a discussion about Etsy witches, and honestly, that feels exactly right.
No hot takes. Just real ones.
If you’ve ever started a conversation about healing and ended up discussing something completely unrelated 45 minutes later, more like 2 1/2 hours, this episode is for you.
🎙️ Grab your favorite drink, settle in, and come hang out with us for a classic Two Things Can Be True free-flow conversation. Sometimes the best episodes are the ones with absolutely no map. 💜

Episode 18: Top Down
No outline. No script. No GPS voice saying, “In 500 feet, turn left.” 🌀 Just two friends hopping into the conversation car and seeing where the road decides to go. One random thought turns into a story, the story turns into a memory, the memory turns into a life lesson, and somehow we end up right back where we started.
This episode is pure freestyle energy. Just me and Ashley shooting the sh*t, connecting dots that probably had no business being connected, and inviting y’all into the group chat while we do it. Come hang out and see where the conversation lands.

Episode 17: Saints, Sinners & Summer Dresses
Fashion has opinions, and so do we. In this episode, we broke down the designers doing the absolute most right now — in the best way — before turning around and filing a formal report on the looks and trends that had no business leaving the mood board. No cancellations, no mean girl energy. Just two women with taste and zero apologies.
Then they closed it out the only way that made sense: a full summer trend audit. What’s coming into the rotation, what’s getting left in the cold, and a rapid-fire In or Out that had them on opposite sides more than once. Spoiler — they did not agree on everything. And that’s exactly the point.
In this episode:
– The designers earning their flowers right now
– The trends and looks that are being reported, not praised
– Summer 2025: what stays, what goes, and where we drew the line

Episode 16: The Cult of Nature Boy | Cults in the Black Community
In 2017, a man named Eligio Bishop — known online as Nature Boy — was building a following inside a Black community that was grieving, afraid, and looking for safety. The world was giving them every reason to distrust the system. He used that. And it worked.
This week, Aqueelah and Ashley break down the Hulu documentary The Cult of Nature Boy — the psychology behind why people join cults, why Black Americans were specifically vulnerable in that moment in history, and what the research says about the tactics used to pull people in and keep them there.
Also Aqueelah shares something she's never talked about publicly. Something that could have gone differently and very left.
Two things can be true: the community was not wrong about the world. They were wrong about him.
Watch The Cult of Nature Boy on Hulu before or after — either way, let's talk about it.
