Well, yes. Yes there was. But life happened. So Honeywell and I couldn't convene to talk about weird oddities of strangeness.

So in this week's ball-previewing episode, Magnus runs his mouth about a bunch of upcoming stuff and also shoots the bull about some podcasting administrivia. Jokes are told (by Magnus), laughs are shared (by Magnus) and a good time is had by all (or at least by Magnus).

In episode 61 of The Man of Screen podcast, Mike Zummo has got a bunch of “Adventures of Superman” weirdness concerning elephants and aliens.

First the children are expecting Superman to deliver an elephant to a charity event. And they will not be happy if he doesnt. And theyll blame him if the elephant is kidnapped.

Meet Johnny Wilson. He lives on a farm after his mother moved them out of the city. He found an elephant in his barn and thinks its a birthday present. At least until hes shown … an elephant registration number?

Grab a packaderm by the tail for “The Stolen Elephant”.

And then were getting a strange visitor from another planet. Yep. Another one. Hes from Mars. And hes measly. For that, he was banished. But hes friendly. Too friendly. And very naïve. That doesnt sound like a good combination.

Would you roll out the red carpet for our visitor, “Mr. Zero”?

Next time: Mike will finish up Season 5 as Jimmy determines “Whatever Goes Up” and then start Season 6 by meeting “The Last Knight”.

This episode is a much more serious one my friends. For on this day one year ago, a great man was lost. His name was Shawn Engel. This week's episode has the largest cast of guest-hosts ever on the show and I'm pretty darn sure will ever have! It is my most sincerest wish that if Shawn's family finds this little show, that they may be able to draw some comfort from how their loved one affected his friends and one complete stranger.Today we remember one of the best of us.His light will burn forever in our hearts. Tissues and hugs are recommended for this one. Also super special thanks to Chris Honeywell for the episode art!
