  • Episode 16: Supergirl SE 1 EPS 7 and 8
Chris and Scott continue their Supergirl season one coverage of episodes seven and eight. First, Kara finds her yellow sun fuel tank running low after her battle with the Red Tornado as she deals with being human for a day. Meanwhile the DEO has a super villain running around the compound who has incredible mental powers. Damn, if only there was a super powered alien with amazing psychic powers on this show who could save the day. Also, Scott mourns for the dearly departed DEO agents (Other than Hank and Alex) who seem to die in droves every episode. Next, in a story ripped from some political headline on some alternate earth, Cat Grant is dealing with the aftermath of having her private emails hacked and the impending threat of her secrets being released. Oh yeah, and the Kryptonians are back with a vengeance and Kara has to battle her Aunt Astra. Me and Hero are Bingestorming in National City for a few more weeks so we hope you'll stay tuned with us. A super time is promised to all who attend.

  • Episode 182- Magnus Talks About Smallville- Season 05 Part 01- A New Journey is About to Begin
In this week's ball-journeying episode, Magnus kicks off the Smallville season 05 retrospective.
Arrival, Mortal, Hidden and Aqua are on the docket this week as the fifth season gets underway.
As is frequently the case with these retrospectives, character arcs are dissected, storylines are analyzed and there's more than enough conjecture to keep the Smallville True Believer happy.
So what more do you need? Start listening now or face Lana's wrath!
For those of you determined to ruin the Internet by sharing click-bait on Facebook, "Magnus shares a conspiracy theory about Virgil Swann AND IT'S INSANE!"
Due to the deluge of ass-kickery this week, unfortunately there just wasn't time for listener feedback this week. But don't cry about it because there's more coming in the future!
Patience! Feedback will be addressed in just a few weeks. As a matter of fact, several upcoming episodes will feature feedback sections.
This would be an opportune time to send in any feedback you may have as the vault could get totally cleared out of feedback in the relatively near future. So get to writing!
In the meantime, though, don't let the lack of feedback this time get you down! You can still offer your feeble effort at tribute! You humble serfs are always welcome to kiss your benevolent leader's ring. Corrupt DiManzocorp interns are ready, willing, able and eager to accept your bribe to present your meager missives to your wise emperor. The email address to use is [email protected] as the other seems to be having technical problems.
In an another sublime act of truly unprecedented charity, your emperor permits you lowly rabble to suggest topics for a future episode. Thus, petitions may be sent to [email protected] for DiManzocorp interns to review, whereupon your leader might consider thinking about the possibility of potentially discussing whatever you have in mind some day. And that's a promise!

  • The Man of Screen Podcast Episode 46 - The Adventures of Superman: The Magic Necklace/The Bully of Dry Gulch
In episode 46 of The Man of Screen podcast, Mike is marching toward the end of the Adventures of Supermans third season.
First, we wait for a package from Prof. Jody as he claims to have found a magic necklace that will protect the user from death? Is such a thing possible and who will be taken in by the professors claims?
What happens when Clark is shot while wearing the necklace and where exactly would Perry White find Superman if he really did want him?
You will have to join us in Tibet as we discover the mystery of “The Magic Necklace.”
Then, we are heading out to the American frontier and apparently the small town that time forgot as Dry Gulch never seemed to make it out of the 1950s. A gunslinger will be met, Jimmy will be jailed and Clark Kent will …. Not care? But you can bet your cape that Superman will care when our unfriendly gunslinger makes “goo goo eyes” at Lois.
But as for the gunslinger, is he for real or is he no more than “The Bully of Dry Gulch”?
Next time: Bob Fisher will be back as Sylverster J. Superman comes to town for some fish-out-of water adventure, lemon meringue pie and snow in “Flight To the North” and then we will find out what makes a scar-faced man so interested in “The Seven Souvenirs”.

  • Episode 3: I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings
It's the third episode of Required Reading with Tom and Stella! This podcast, which is hosted by Tom Panarese (Pop Culture Affidavit, In Country, Taking Flight) and Stella (Batgirl to Oracle: A Barbara Gordon Podcast, The Batman Universe) is two teachers talking about literature. Each episode, we will be taking a look at a single work, analyzing it, criticizing it and deciding if it's worth its place in the canon.
This time out, we take a look at Maya Angelou's landmark memoir, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, which explores her childhood and adolesence in Arkansas and in other parts of the South and Midwest during the 1930s-1950s.

  • In Country: Marvel Comics' "The 'Nam" -- Episode 76
Frank Castle is back in the second "Punisher in 'The 'Nam'" storyline! This time around, I take a look at The 'Nam #67, the first of a three-parter starring the Marvel vigilante who was so popular in the early 1990s that he got a book about his weapons. But at this point, he's not The Punisher yet, although he does ... punish. It's brought to you by Chuck Dixon, Kevin Kobasic, and Jimmy Palmiotti. In addition to the issue, I'll also be covering the historical context for the summer of 1971.

  • Episode 15: Supergirl SE 1 EPS 5 and 6
This week Chris and Scott head back to National City to bring you the beginning of over a month of Supergirl recaps! Episodes five and six of the first season start with team Supergirl racing against the clock to stop a dangerous terrorist threat, while also proving they are dangerously inept at day care as Kara finds herself watching over Cat Grant's son. Worst. Babysitters. Ever. Next we get a windy and wonderful appearance from the pages of DC comics when Supergirl is asked to test her powers against the Red Tornado. No heroics from this android though, as Kara must stop its rampage before it destroys the city. We also get some nice character building about Cat's relationships with her mother and James and Lucy play "Guess who's coming to dinner?" with angry daddy General Lane. Bingestorm is feeling a little "Red Faced" this week so make us feel better as we start a long run of talking about Kara from Krypton on your Weekly Heroics. Stay Tuned!
