Two True Freaks

Scott and Chris are finally back after the Thanksgiving break(down) with season one recaps of Agents of SHIELD episode 9 and The Flash episode 5. It's a particle accelerator party this week as the SHIELD team tries to help a woman who thinks she's being attacked by demons, but if something inter-dimensional is going it's up to the science nerds to figure out if it's Hellish or human. Over on The Flash the OG Particle Accelerator Posse is facing way too much CW soap and an explosive meta-human foe who is on the radar of a nefarious General Clancy Mother F*cking Brown! Don't start a cheesy blog nitpicking your favorite superhero shows, let us do the ranting for you on another Weekly Heroics!

While Bill was away on assignment, Matt Hunsworth thought it would be a good time to join Scott and Paul to dive into some random back issues! After all, what's the use of an order of protection if you don't use it? Matt even stole Bill's schtick of not bringing a book! C'mon along for the ride.

Scott, Brian, Mike and Sara act like real "Go Getters" this week as they talk about episode five of this season of The Walking Dead as we finally join Maggie and Sasha back at the Hilltop. Gregory is being skeevy, Maggie and Sasha are still mourning and Jesus just wants to save everybody (it's kind of his thing). If you don't want a black eye, don't forget, it's not Martha, Martha, Martha in this dysfunctional family, it's Rhee, Maggie Rhee, Queen of the apocalypse atop a tractor chariot. Also!: Bonus teenage roller disco love for Carl and Enid!

Shockwave tries to destroy the world! It's time for another look at G.I. Joe and the Transformers and this time around, I'm looking at issue #3 of the series, which raises the stakes as Cobra has to ally with G.I. Joe and the Autobots. I also share some memories of Christmas 1986.

Please dont forget to leave feedback at the Pop Culture Affidavit Facebook page and check out Pop Culture Affidavit for the show notes.

Will Riker's transporter created "brother", Tom Riker comes to DS9 to tell the women that they truly belong among the clouds! This week, Paul, Andy and Bill are joined by the Listen to the Prophets Science Correspondent, W. Blaine Dowler to look at this episode of DS9 and while we're at it, it's time to cue the Star Trek fight music as Bill and Blaine Face off in the arena of scientific knowledge!

The Countdown continues! Last week the epic list of your top comic movies was started. This week, we look at numbers 75 through 51 on the list. What made the cut? What didn't? Can Scott continue to hold hid tongue when movies he hates show up? Listen in and find out.

In this week's ball-hacking episode, Magnus continues the It's All About Image megaseries, the purpose of which is to take a look back at a few Image titles from the 1990's.

Think of it as an opportunity to maybe change your opinion of Image in the 90's. Maybe.

But then again, maybe not.

Continuing the megaseries this week is the oh-riginal Astro City miniseries from 1995.

Honestly now, what's up with Astro City? It gets a lot of love but is it really everything people say? Have the ensuing twenty years been kind to Astro City? Or, like so many other things, is Astro City an overrated hackjob?

There's only one way to find out for sure!

For those of you determined to soil the Internet by sharing click-bait, "Magnus sat down to read Astro City but then *THIS* happened!"

Due to the deluge of ass-kickery this week, unfortunately there just wasn't time for listener feedback this week. But don't cry about it because there's more coming in the future!

Patience! The vast backlog of feedback will be addressed in due time. Fear not!

In the meantime, though, don't let the lack of feedback this time get you down! You can still offer your feeble effort at tribute! You humble serfs are always welcome to kiss your benevolent leader's ring. Corrupt DiManzocorp interns are ready, willing, able and eager to accept your bribe to present your meager missives to your wise emperor. The email address to use is [email protected] as the other seems to be having technical problems.

In an another sublime act of truly unprecedented charity, your emperor permits you lowly rabble to suggest topics for a future episode. Thus, petitions may be sent to [email protected] for DiManzocorp interns to review, whereupon your leader might consider thinking about the possibility of potentially discussing whatever you have in mind some day. And that's a promise!

It's another journey into the world of Star Trek, but this time Dave has company.

Dario Gonzalez, the self-professed “Most Interesting Man in the World” and Mego aficionado schools Dave in the art of buying back one's childhood.

Dario and Dave go over the line of toys, the accessories, and the playsets of the predecessor to the Star Wars toy phenomenon of the 70's and 80's.

What's so funny about a middle-aged alcoholic, with father issues, looking for love? You wouldn't think anything would be. So join Paul as he's joined by Ryan Daly to take a look at this classic and figure out whether it holds up to the test of time.
