Minneapolis is known for its arts scene, and Theater Latté Da and Hennepin Theatre Trust have helped put it on the map.

Now in its 25th year, Theater Latté Da is known for its adventurous shows. 

Past performances include “Merrily We Roll Along,” “Hello, Dolly!” and “La Bohème.”

Hennepin Theatre Trust owns the State, Orpheum and Pantages theaters along Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis.

These theaters put on Broadway shows, concerts and comedy events. 

The leaders of Theater Latté Da and Hennepin Theatre Trust are closing the curtains on their positions in the Twin Cities.

Peter Rothstein, the founding artistic director of Theater Latté Da in Minneapolis, will be the next producing artistic director of Asolo Repertory Theatre in Florida. Mark Nerenhausen, the CEO and president of the Hennepin Theatre Trust, is retiring in July.

• Peter Rothstein is the founding artistic director of Theater Latté Da in Minneapolis. He’s moving to Florida to be the next producing artistic director of Asolo Repertory Theatre, one of the most important cultural forces in the Southeastern United States.




• Mark Nerenhausen is the outgoing CEO and President of the Hennepin Theatre Trust, and only the second individual to hold that title. The organization runs the Orpheum, State and Pantages theaters and The Hennepin event center. Nerenhausen is retiring in July.
