After getting through season one with only a few issues with Barbara and Susan we're now starting our watch of season two.
We start of with the three episode story Planet of Giants. Full of big exciting stuff - we discuss how the regular characters cope with the situations they are in.
If you're new to Doctor Who and want to discover these stories with us, Sarah watched this streamed online via Britbox and Mark watched the official BBC DVD release.
To celebrate reaching the end of the first season we're having a mini awards ceremony looking back at our favourite characters and moments so far.
Welcome to The Doscars!
Mark and Sarah have put forward their nominations and now is the time to announce the winners. Categories include Best Monster, Best Story, Best Regular, Worst Moment and most prestigious of all: The Ian Chesterson Heroic Moment award.
*Warning: This episode contains a lot of talk about The Keys of Marinus*
We'll be back in a few weeks for the start of Season Two....
We've reached the end of the first season in our watch. It's another historical story with the added bonus of our first animated episodes. Barbara finds herself another man, Ian is a hero from his prison cell and is there any point in Susan being there at all?
This is our first episode recorded in lockdown so sound quality may vary as we get used to the technology!
If you're new to Who and want to discover these stories with us, we watched this from the official BBC DVD of The Reign of Terror including animated reconstructions of the missing episode 4 and 5.
Back into space we're visiting the Sense Sphere and watching The Sensorites. Are these early Doctor Who monsters scary? Sarah wants to know what is going on and what's wrong with John. Mark would like to know if anyone had the Sensorite poster on their wall in the 90's. Also can we all agree that City Administrator is the worst title ever.
