It's a new week and the boys are back with a loaded show after a jam packed weekend! Leading off, Alec Mills has thrown the 16th no-hitter in Cubs history this past weekend in a 12-0 win over the Brewers! In the 2 hole is the Sox who take another sweep from the Tigers and now hold the best record in the AL. Batting 3rd is the Bears jump out to a 1-0 record after a thrilling 27-23 win in Detroit. In the clean up spot the boys cover all of week 1 in the NFL. Following the NFL and in the 5 hole is the NBA bubble playoffs. In the 6 slot we have Matty Pucks to cover the NHL playoffs. Zach & Boomy are in the house and rolling on Boomys 30th birthday! They start off with the lead off spot in the Cubs getting shut out for the first time all season as they fall to the Reds 3-0 on the north side. In the 2 hole the White Sox move a game up on the Twins as they take an 8-1 win over the Pirates. In the 3 spot we officially have the NFL back as the Chiefs & Texans face off tonight in the opener. They boys also start their NFL pick show with their choices on tonight's game. In the clean up spot the boys shift to college hoops proposal of allowing all 346 NCAA D1 teams into this year's tourney. It's week 1 of the NFL & the TCF boy's have you covered! Leading off, we have Mitch Trubisky getting named the starting QB over Foles. In the 2 spot we see Edie Pinero getting moved to the IR meaning Cairo Santos will be kicking week 1. In the 3 hole the Cubs pick up a win at Wrigley over the Reds 3-0. On the other side of town in the clean up spot the Sox fall to the Pirates. In the 5 hole the boys tackley the rumors that Billy Donovan may have connections to the Bulls opening. Following the Bulls and batting 6th is the NBA playoffs as the conference semi finals continue. In other playoff talk and batting 7th is the NHL with Matty Pucks. The TCF crew is in to get this shortened week off on the right foot! In the lead off spot we have Novak Djokovic getting disqualified from the US Open over the weekend after he launched a ball that struck the line judge in the head. In the 2 spot the Cubs lost 3 of 5 to the Cardinals over the weekend but still remain 2.5 up in the NL Central. On the other side of town and hitting 3rd the Sox bust out the brooms and sweep the Royals as they remain tied for first in the AL Central. In the clean up spot we have Matty Pucks giving us the low down on the conference finals taking place in the NHL bubble. Following hockey and in the 5 hole the NBA playoffs in the bubble continue with AMAZING games and some of the brightest stars shining right now. Zach & Boomy are re-joined by a day 1 member of the TCF crew, Gameboy! Leading off, the boys jump into the Cubs moves at the deadline to add some arms to the bullpen and some depth in the outfield. Up 2nd is a look at what the Sox decided to do, or not to do at the deadline and what it means for them going forward. In the 3 hole Zach & Gameboy talk about the realistic possibilities of the Bears maybe adding Leonard Fournette after he was cut by the Jags.
