In the debut episode of our new podcast, UConn Fast Break Convos, we catch up with former UConn men’s basketball player Jonathan Mandeldove!

The Dove shares his story of choosing to play for UConn under head coach Jim Calhoun and accepting a reserve role on the team before finishing up his degree and getting into coaching. He also touches on the best places to eat in Storrs, his favorite arenas to visit, and the prospects for this year’s Huskies under Dan Hurley.

Today, Mandeldove is in his first year as the head coach of the women’s basketball team at The Winchendon School in Massachusetts. He also coaches for Nike EYBL teams. It was clear from our conversation that he’s learned a lot from his time in Storrs and is eager to use that wisdom to help promising young athletes reach the next level.
