The 1954 satellite story  is one of the many stories covered in The Canadian Government UFO Story. The satellites were discovered revolving around the earth by early USAF long range radar. At the same time a psychic being used by the Canadian government and the Central Intelligence Agency was describing two huge orbiting space crafts. The story of the satellites was covered by many media outlets including Aviation Week. When the objects were declared to just be natural satellites the story faded from the news.
