UFOs On The Level - AJ Hartley Sekret Machines and the art of an author
Author A.J. Hartley (also writing as Andrew Hart) is the award winning and New York Times bestselling writer of 25 mystery/thriller, fantasy, historical fiction, and young adult novels. Though primarily a solo novelist, he has collaborated with his family (HIDEKI SMITH), David Hewson (adaptations of HAMLET and MACBETH) and Blink-182 frontman Tom Delonge (SEKRET MACHINES).
A.J and I discuss his all of his work as an author and I finally get to ask questions Ive had since 2016 after reading Sekret Machines Book 1.
How much research went into the topics of UFOs and government conspiracies before writing the series?
How the Sekret Machines series might have influenced people's perceptions of the UFO topics?
We talk about his writing process:
* What his collaboration with Tom DeLonge is like.
* How did he approach blending fiction and non-fiction elements in the series?
* What are the plans for future Sekret Machines books?
Sekret Machines and Cathedrals of Glass are in the process of becoming TV series, the new Trinity book in collaboration with Tom DeLonge is coming out in June of 2024 but we cant talk about it yet ;)
