“Masonic Lodges may not seem like the ideal candidates for hauntings, but there is no shortage of rumors and tales of supernatural or unexplained activity in our fraternity’s buildings. 

In “Speculative Specters” Illustrious Brother Michael Lake KYCH, 33°, KGC will not only present some examples of allegedly haunted Masonic buildings, but will also guide us on an exploration of the history and symbolism of haunting phenomena, and contrast various explanations of unexplained activity in our sacred spaces with Western Mystical Tradition, including Masonic ritual and philosophy.  

Illustrious Brother Lake (currently residing in Idaho), is a Past Master of Pemberville Lodge, a former Most Wise Master of Fort Industry Chapter of Rose Croix in the Valley of Toledo, and served the SRICF both as secretary of Ohio College and Secretary General of High Council.  

Like many of our members, he was originally attracted to Freemasonry through his own esoteric studies, and over the past 20 years he has presented several thought-provoking talks on these subjects to various Masonic bodies including the Allied Masonic Degrees and Rosicrucians.”
