With the stars unable to align for the production of an episode this December, Kendrick has recorded a little something for you all about ugvm, usenet, the universe and everything.

What the listener didn't expect, was to discover that most of the podcast seemed to be about things that had nothing to do with the games mentioned in the usual list of topics. "How queer," they said. "How very, very queer".

Episode 78 brings together the talking force of deKay, Kendrick, Orrah and Toby and they use their powers to speak words on subjects such as Embracer's employee cull, Creative Assembly's employee (and game line-up) cull, Why Creative Assembly Lost Their Way With The Total War Series, What Ben Croshaw Did Next, and mountains of games.

It is with great pleasure that we present to you our most newest edition (until the next one, anyway) of the world-beloved ugvm Podcast! Warm your toes by the fire of Episode 77. For it is indeed a fire. In a bin.

In this exciting episode, deKay, Kendrick and Luffer try very hard to fill the required number of minutes with such diverse topics as Formula E's foray into the NFT/blockchain game, an upcoming Kickstarter title called Night Stones, and why the Quest 3 both proves and disproves why VR is and isn't dead. Plus, bonus chat about edible leather footwear for some reason, and words and noises about these games and more.

There are very few certainties in this world, but one of them is guaranteed disappointment in your ears when you listen to a new episode of the ugvm Podcast. Like this one, Episode 76!

This time, deKay, Toby and Kendrick break with established norms and talk about games. Oh, wait, no. That's what they usually do. OK, have some Action Man chat instead - that's not been covered before. Plus, news about Xbox Leaks, Unity, Toby's Attempt To Coax You Into Youtube Hell, Amazon Luna, Nexus Mods and how the US entertainment strikes have moved on to games now. There's also a show report (apparently this is a thing we do semi-regularly now) of the Insomnia Gaming Festival and the ALGS Championship final hosted therein.

Kerpow! It's Episode 75 slapping you in the ears like a slappy thing slapping things!

In this episode, deKay, Kendrick and Toby talk about Exciting Things At Gamescom, or rather, lack of them, Major Nelson Major Rumours, the PlayStation Portal (neé Q) handheld thing, YABOABH (Yet Another Bit of Atari Branded Hardware), or the Atari 2600+ and who exactly it is for, Sega buying Rovio, dad of Angry Birds (and therefore the chances of a Sonic/Angry Birds shared cinematic universe) and some other Stuff. You know, like normal. Plus some games, many of which are Quite Good, and at least one of which is Pretty Meh. Place your bets!

Hark! A podcast! Verily, the ugvm gentlemen have returned with dulcet voices and witty repartee in Episode 74.

In this episode, deKay, Kendrick and Toby partake in discussion of such things as Ubisoft deleting accounts, Valiant Premier Season 2, Baten Kaitos, Super Pocket - the Evercade that isn't an Evercade, and for some reason, Skibidi Toilet. Well why not. Naturally, we talk about the fun, and not so fun, games we've been playing.

In a faraway land, in a shady wooded glade, the Podcast Pixies live. Their existence is a simple, peaceful one. Or was. Because here comes Episode 73 like a Rat King of chainsaws to take down their forest and build condos (whatever they are) or something.

In this episode, deKay, Kendrick and Toby talk about the recent EA Games split news, the Real Actual Olympics doing eSports, and Nintendo's Not-E3 Direct. There are also tangents galore with Steam Box and Steam Deck chat (if you're a fan of game installers and Linux, you might want to sit on a towel) and only a handful of references to submarines. Plus, the real meat: Games.

"Dammit, Link" cursed Zelda, "Just jump! You've got a bloody parachute!". Link didn't answer. He never did. Zelda kicked him over the edge. "Father was right", she said.

Episode 72! This time, deKay, Kendrick and Zo discuss the fortuitously timed (for once) Sony Not-E3 Presentation and the games therein, Kendrick's new telephone (look, we're short of content), and Nintendo being sued because of lootboxes in Mario Kart Tour. And we played some games!

"Welcome to Episode 71", said the creepy man at the gate in the torn and dirty mouse suit, between puffs on his dogeared cigarette. "Enjoy your stay".

In this episode, deKay, Kendrick, Zo and John/Choobs discuss the death of Lenovo's gaming telephone line (as in, a line of gaming telephones, not a telephone line you use for gaming), Someone Has Bought A PS5, and deKay tells everyone about his visit to Norfolk's Premier Video Gaming Expo, OLL23. Plus, some games! That is after all why you came. Lots of games actually. Kendrick has been on a bit of a spree.
