June 28, 2022Chair’s statement on the final Terms of Reference - UK Covid-19 InquiryThe Chair of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry, Baroness Heather Hallett, has made a statement on the final Terms of Reference for the Inquiry, which were set today by the Prime Minister. The final Terms of Reference set the outline for the Inquiry’s investigations. The Inquiry has now been formally established under the Inquiries Act (2005). In her statement, Baroness Hallett makes seven promises to the public about how she will run the Inquiry. This includes a commitment to keep those most impacted by the pandemic at the heart of the Inquiry, to conduct a fair, balanced and thorough Inquiry, and to make recommendations as soon as possible through interim reports.
