EP 309 features Heather Linden who currently serves as the Director of Physical Therapy for the UFC Performance Institute. Prior to joining the UFC, Heather worked at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee Sports Medicine Division and was the director of an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Los Angeles. Heather also worked at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center for over six years as part of the USOPC’s multi-disciplinary sports medicine team. She has been on staff for Team USA at the London, Sochi, and RIO Olympic games. Heather’s UFC responsibilities include injury prevention, designing and implementing rehab, performing baseline orthopedic and baseline concussion testing, performing daily treatments, concussion management, and providing UFC fight week support. She was recently honored by the UFC as their Trainer of the year. This is a great conversation about the compromise of human performance, enjoy!
