God brings us together in so many ways. She talks about being a mompreneur, tips and tricks for the mom and/or dad working from home. With a majority of parents working, homeschooling, and figuring out a new “norm” it can be frustrating, stressful, and overwhelming for, both, parents and kids during hard times like what we are currently facing. 

Both my daughter and I have been and currently are mompreneur’s that have been working from home for years, while raising a family. We hope this sheds some light, laughter, and some tips and suggestions on something we have been doing for a long time and will make this trying time a little less stressful.

Ep 11 “Get over it”

In this episode of Ultra Rare Life, Dan Caro shares his courageous story of overcoming. At the age of two, he was engulfed in flames during a gasoline explosion in the family garage which left third-degree burns over 80% of his body and lost both of his hands.

 His family was told he wouldn’t survive more than a few days. But God had other plans. Even though his heart stopped several times, Dan’s spirit wasn’t ready to give up; somehow he knew he had work to do. Despite the odds, Dan survived, but life would not be easy.

Dan share’s his secrets of how he overcame years of painful surgeries, endless months of lonely isolation in burn units, social rejection, being shunned and called a “monster” by children and adults. He set life goals that people told him he’d never be able to accomplish, but he far exceeded anyone’s expectations. 

Now as one of the most accomplished drummers in New Orleans, Dan’s drumming and inspirational speaking have inspired millions around the world. The man who was once shunned and called “monster” by his neighbors, is today in high demand for his innovative and inspirational performances.

EP 08 Let go of what is holding you back

What is holding you back? This is a topic that I have had SO many conversations around, but there is one person that comes to mind that I have learned so much from in terms of letting go. 

Derek’s Aunt Gail taught me the importance of letting go as we were going through my kitchen and packing everything up as we had just sold our home and we were preparing to travel across the country to help Derek. At the time, she was going through her own struggles. Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, she only had months left to live, but was so determined to live life to the fullest and help out with the people she cared the most for. 

This incredible woman who ended up going home to heaven a couple months later gave me deep insight into the power of letting go and moving on. Through this episode of Ultra Rare Life I hope Aunt Gail’s words of wisdom have just as much of an impact on you as they did me.
