I discuss the terrorist attack behind the infection, the zombies learning through a hive mind, their ant-like behavior, Kwon leading the survivors, and the villain who can control the infected. I also cover the surprising deaths, entertaining action, pacing problems, convenient writing, and an ending that could have handled its villain better.

My first-watch review of Buddy, a dark horror comedy that kept me entertained from beginning to end.

I discuss the increasingly disturbing Buddy Show episodes, the dark humor, Freddy and Grace’s storylines, the beautiful practical suits, the original songs, and the mystery behind this strange world. I also explain why Grace’s later scenes and parts of the ending needed more time.

I discuss the chemistry between the four friends, their individual storylines, the jokes and awkward moments, the spa party, the golf-cart sequence, and why this familiar girls’ weekend comedy needed something fresher to make it stand out.

It was predictable and many of the jokes didn’t land, but the cast still made it an enjoyable enough time. I rated it 3 out of 5 on Letterboxd.

I’m reviewing the 1998 action thriller starring Robert De Niro and Jean Reno.

The car chases were easily the highlight for me. They were intense, creatively shot, and some of the best car chases I have watched in a movie.

I also discuss Sam and Vincent’s friendship, the betrayals surrounding the mysterious briefcase, the tense mission sequences, the multiple villains, and the brutal bullet-removal scene.

The movie has some strange gun effects, unrealistic moments, and an underdeveloped relationship between Sam and Deirdre. However, it remained fun and entertaining throughout.
