On the upswing consider creating a plan for the down swing. When we are prepared for certain emotional outcomes it helps keep us from sinking too deep. 

Many adults do not know how to properly rest because they grew up in homes where they had to constantly do work for hours. Even when we live with our parents, work 12-hour shifts, and care for our children we cannot rest properly. It is time to dismantle this dynamic and get some rest.
