This week's episode is a little different from the others. We talk about Ash Wednesday, why we do the ashes, why fast and a few other things surrounding Lent. Lent is difficult but very well worth it. We are on a journey to become more like Christ and be more closely unified with the Father for his glory!

Growing up Protestant I would often hear that Catholics prayed to the saints and thought that meant they were elevating Mary and the saints to the same level as God. I thought they were committing necromancy which the Bible clearly says is wrong. When I started studying Catholicism I quickly learned the truth about what was happening. Praying to the saints is something ALL christians should be doing!

This week we talk about confession. I LOVE confession and I know that sounds a little bit crazy but when you properly whats going on in confession, it's a beautiful sacrament that God gives us thru the ministry of the Church. We go over what the Church says about confession and see how Jesus instituted this sacrament in scripture.

This week we are talking about idolatry. I believed when I was Protestant that Catholics worshiped statues and pictures and were a little bit superstitious when it came to wearing necklaces and things. We definitely are not idolaters and there is absolutely a place for statues, crucifixes and paintings of saints, angels, Mary and Jesus!

This week were talking about Mary! Marian Dogmas were the hardest thing for me to understand/believe in but once I understood them and why they're so important, I was lead to an even deeper knowledge and love of God and Jesus.
