Unapologetically Living With Trese

Trese is back after vacation and discussing all that is happening in the world. How parenting children at different stages of life is 1 out of 5 stars, the Oxford School Shooter, Ahmaud Arbery, Cry Baby Kyle, and the trauma and PTSD Black people are dealing with. Nothing is ever off-topic, and this week is no different. 

This week Trese sits down with Letitia Hazell as she continues her Black Women Matter Series. Letitia is an accomplished librarian, wife, mom, Hyperemesis Gravidarum advocate, and a huge proponent of the new parenting style of "Conscious Parenting," a deviation from the popular gentle parenting circulating on social media. 

Never one to shy away from someone with opposing views, this conversation isn't one to miss as the disagreements lead to a new understanding!

Trese sits down with one of her good friends, business partner, and unapologetic serial entrepreneur Alicia Holliday to discuss entrepreneurship, the pandemic, trade school as a viable option, motherhood, co-parenting, and so much more. In addition, they share their thoughts on the influencing world and why some people need to stop calling themselves "influencers." The tea is piping hot and, as always, unapologetic!

It's a new season, and Trese is holding nothing back, as per usual. She is catching you up on all the things that she's been up to since the end of Season 3 and current events, new shows, and of course, Black issues as a whole. On this week's episode, she is discussing what it's like to be a Black mom in America and why that experience is so very different than any other mother. From childhood to the death of Ma'Khia Bryant; she's discussing the impact of America on Black Motherhood.

It all started out amazing as Trese ended Women's History Month with the A & L Pitch Competition and then well.. America started America-ing again! This week Trese discusses how Black people are judged by their worst common denominator (which is the minority), the arrest of a 6 yo black boy in North Carolina and of course the Derek Chauvin trial.

There are smiles, laughs, anger and tears and its all perfectly ok. Because we are Black in America and its a discombobulating shyt show!
