The glorious words of John 15:12–16, where Jesus tells us to love one another, are a stark reminder that if we don’t love others, our faith is dead, and we do not know Christ. The true, legitimate test of being a disciple of Christ is to love the people of God. In other words, you can’t love Christ and not love His people. We are to be known by our love.
Being “clean” is synonymous with being a true believer in Christ, a purity achieved not through our own efforts but through a connection with the Vine. This connection to Christ, the true Vine, is facilitated by the Word of God. It is through the proclamation of God’s Word that new believers are made, as this Word takes root in our hearts, nurturing faith within us. Just as a branch draws life from the Vine by simply being attached, we, too, receive spiritual nourishment and life by being grafted into Christ through the enduring power and grace of His Word.
What is the fruit that true believers are supposed to produce? In today’s episode, Grant offers several characteristics of true Christian spiritual fruit and how it is manifested in our lives. Genuine believers always bear fruit.
In today’s episode, Grant reflects on those who profess Christ and those who truly possess Christ as their Savior and Lord. How do you know if you are a false disciple? How do you know if you merely profess Christ rather than knowing Christ in a real and personal relationship? Stay tuned as Grant opens the Word of God for us.
In today’s episode, Grant continues his reflection on the beautiful words of John 15 when Jesus identifies himself as the vine and his people as the branches. Grant gives us some immediate implications for understanding this metaphor of the vine and the branches.

In other words, you don’t need anyone else—like saints or priests, and you don’t need anything—like your good works. In today’s episode, Grant explains why and how Christ alone is the only path of salvation. He also introduces us to the Reformer, John Calvin, and what Calvin had to say on the subject of Christ alone.
In today’s episode, Grant reflects on the beautiful words of John 15 when Jesus identifies himself as the vine and his people as the branches. As Grant will explain, Jesus says that everything that has come before finds its fulfillment in Himself. To know Christ, you must be "in" Christ.
In today’s episode, Grant reflects on the comforting words of our Lord Jesus Christ in John 14 regarding the reality of knowing God, which should be our greatest desire, our most profound delight, and our most comforting hope.
In today’s episode, Grant continues reflecting on the comforting words of our Lord Jesus Christ in John 14:1–4. Jesus said in John 14:4, “And you know the way to where I am going.” What is Jesus referring to there when he identifies the way?
