Stimulus isn't even supposed to stimulate the economy. That's not even what Keynesians think they are trying to do. It is only politicians that are dumb enough to think that. Here's what "stimulus" is actually supposed to do, any why it won't work anyway.

The kind of meditation taught by parts of the IDW is antiseptic and joyless. It doesn't need to be that way. The Buddha certainly didn't teach that kind of meditation.

Why are we spending our time pushing for tiny reforms like "money follows the student" or "charter schools"? We need far bolder action than that. 2020 taught us just how much we waste in time, energy, money, and freedom on government education.

Yes, it's old news now. In 20 years "Defund the Police" we rank behind "Toilet Paper Shortages" and "The Wellerman Sea Chanties" on the list of things we remember about 2020. But what if the left had the courage of their convictions? What if the right took them up on it? What if we did defund the police, return all of that tax money to the people that paid it, and went to a 100% free market in police protection. What then?

My wife grew up in China, and in her village there was an old man that everyone said had eaten a baby. He wasn't a maniac or anything, and he was living his life the way all of the farmers of the village did. But everyone knew, and the kids were all scared of him.
