One of my favorite parts of the podcast is building a network and connecting with amazing individuals who inspire and motivate me time after time. Jay Hanagan is one of those individuals. Introduced by a mutual friend, I knew Jay was a must for the Unbeaten Path.
Jay was enjoying an excellent corporate career, and then Jay's company got acquired. Long story short, Jay took a severance package, and he had a decision to make. Go find a similar job at a different company, or take the time to set goals, better yourself, and help others. Jay chose the latter of the two.
Severed life was launched as a Facebook Group in order for Jay to hold himself accountable by all his Facebook friends following him along the way. It turns out he loved it and was inspiring people to better themselves as well.
During all of this Jay decided he wasn't going back to corporate and he was going to start his own company. It is basically the exact opposite of his previous career, and he is letting people watch as he is figuring it out along the way.
