When building or scaling your business, we all know it's important to have a clear business model in place to keep you on track and focused.
What a lot of failing entrepreneurs don't understand is that there are two additional categories to consider before you ever even attempt a business plan.
Because truthfully, how can you create a plan for a business without fully understanding the foundation?
In this episode, I share the two types of businesses that exist today, and ONE that's often overlooked or forgotten. The majority of entrepreneurs are making this same mistake.
You'll not only have an understanding of these types of businesses, but I'll also provide examples, characteristics and warnings to look out for. You'll also hear about my own transition from one to another and why it's been the best thing to happen to my business.
As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts in our Facebook community and I would so appreciate you subscribing and leaving a review on iTunes, Stitcher or Spotify!

Failure isn't an outcome, it's a mindset.
In business, it's not a matter of IF we fail, it's how we manage that feeling when we do.
While we intellectually know we'll be stronger on the other side, it doesn't discount the feelings of pain, frustration or sadness that we feel in our bodies.
Failure isn't always fun to talk about, much less to share about in public, but it's important that I discuss it to release the judgment associated with it because if you're not failing, you're not playing big enough.
In this episode, I share the 5 steps that I use to move through these feelings of failure into gratitude, acceptance and forward momentum.
Failure can feel hard, messy and painful but it's a great starting point for your own personal and professional journey.
As always, I look forward to engaging in more conversations with you in our Facebook community. Click here to join us!

Are you bumping up against resistance when it comes to products or services you're excited to launch?
It's confusing, right?
It feels aligned yet there's something holding you back.
I know how you feel.
I recently experienced some resistance to completing a sales page for my new mastermind offering, The Flock, and it had me wondering what the heck was going on.
Today I share where I was blocked and how I got past the resistance to accomplish what I set out to do.
You'll hear the 6 steps that I used to see if I was really in alignment, what I recommitted to and what role detachment played in moving forward.
After this episode you'll know how to "stack the deck" in your favor and what to do to prevent that resistance in the future.
Want to double your profit in 9 months, all while having more fun, freedom and friendship? I'm now accepting applications for my new mastermind program, The Flock, and I invite you to learn more at http://unbecomingpodcast.com/flock.

As business owners, we face objections and rejections regularly.
So much of the advice out there about overcoming objections promotes the belief that "It's not you, it's them" which in turn, is a method of shirking responsibility.
However, in my work with countless entrepreneurs, I've found the opposite to be more effective.
In fact, there's a much more empowering approach to the same issue which may seem a bit counterintuitive.
I surveyed my community to find out the three most common objections they face in their businesses:
"It's too expensive."
"I don't have enough time."
"I'm not ready yet."
In today's episode, you'll see that when you dive in a bit deeper, you can proactively turn objections into personal and financial growth opportunities.
As a bonus, I also discuss the implications of cancellations, or clients who don't renew which can lead to a lot of self-doubt and confusion.
After this episode, you'll have the specific questions to ask yourself, along with the prompts and action steps to reframe objections into something useful. You can find the corresponding resources inside our Unbecoming community: http://unbecomingpodcast.com/community

And you're ready to learn what real leaders do to create more success in their life and business..
This is the episode for you!
On today's episode, I'm busting the myths about coaches and masterminds, eliminating any F.O.M.O. and helping you decide if one, both or neither is the right option for you.
With over 4 years of consecutive coaching and masterminding, I'm sharing my insights and experiences of being a coach, hiring one, participating in a mastermind and facilitating my own so you feel more empowered around your choices.
I'll be defining what a coach is and isn't, the pros and cons of hiring one, where the idea of a mastermind group came from and the key elements, structures and formats that exist.
How do you find the right coach or mastermind?
I'm revealing the main things to look for in each, what you can expect to pay and why joining a mastermind or hiring a coach should not be viewed as a cost, but rather an investment.
A coach or mastermind is for the serious and the committed, but there are no guarantees which is why it's crucial that you do your research up front.

Mentioned: [S3] EP 4 The Best Way to Build a Sales Funnel
Let's talk about your sales funnel.
Have one?
Need one?
Need a better one?
Regardless of what you answered, this episode will give you everything you need to build a successful sales funnel or to improve the one you currently have.
After years of helping ambitious six and seven-figure entrepreneurs craft seamless selling systems, I learned that not all funnels are created equal.
There are a few distinctions that I've found separate a good funnel from a great one!
While there are many ways to map out a funnel, often times, I find clients feel overwhelmed or under qualified to do it themselves.
That's why I'd advise you to go through this episode once or twice, and then again a third time with the PDF to jot down your ideas, map out your funnel and head for implementation.
That will help you develop the perfect funnel for your business.
I'm confident that after this episode, you'll understand the funnel fundamentals, be able to identify holes and redesign the perfect funnel for your business.

Stay tuned for next episode, as we'll be discussing how to attract higher quality clients so that you can have more fun and freedom!
