  • Coaching the Best D1 Field Hockey Program in the Nation as a Freshman - #30 w/ Guy Butler-Felton

Today's episode is really exciting for me because it shows that friends can be found in the strangest of places. I met Guy by accident because we were randomly sitting next to each other at a soccer game and ended up striking up a conversation after I heard his accent. Weeks later he now features on the podcast to talk about life growing up in England, his journey from secondary school to Freshman year in college (and the gap year in between), and how a single email landed him a job as the Assistant Coach of the 3x, Division 1, back-to-back-to-back, National Champion, UNC Field Hockey Team. Fun dude, Funny dude, all around good guy from across the pond.

  • What it Means to Make an Impact on College Campuses Today - #29 w/ Abby Adams

On this episode I got to sit down with Abby Adams, a Sophomore at UNC-Chapel Hill who seems to be involved in just about every student organization on campus. From Student Government, to the Board of UNC Hillel, to working a Senate Campaign, Abby truly does have her hands in a little bit of everything. Abby is an incredibly intelligent and well spoken person who was able to articulate a lot about the challenges facing Jewish students at UNC and college campuses across the country, the slow pace of change and how that influences the impact students can have during their four years, and the value of knowing when to speak and when to rest. This is a really good episode and one I had a great time recording so it's definitely worth the listen.

  • Never Ending Exploration - #28 w/ Jake Gerardi

On this episode we sit down with Jake Gerardi to dive deep into his global and personal exploration over the past few years. From his gap year working in Cuba and in the Navajo Nation, to his relentless pursuit mastering one language after another, to his future research aspirations. Jakes obvious intelligence, his unique heritage, and extensive travels allow him to articulate everything from the intersection of indigenous and western religion to the phases of daylight in the arctic winter in way that breaks down every event and issue into simple, digestible points making this episode incredibly informative and powerful. As you can hear throughout the episode my mind was continually blown and amazed by all Jake had to say and I hope he can do the same to you.

  • Understanding the World We Live In and How to Change It - #25 w/ Ascher Walker-Wilson

To celebrate our 25th episode we sit down to talk with Ascher Walker-Wilson. We discussed his many world travels including the two and a half years he lived in Colombia and the summer he spent in Cape Town, we dive deep into issues of race and how we have come to understand our place in modern debates over progress and reconciliation, and we speak extensively on issues of social activism and systemic change.

Though the audio on this episode got messed up and doesn't sound as professional as usual, the content is incredibly powerful, insightful, and entertaining. This one is certainly worth the listen!
