Title: KINGDOM ASSIGNMENT featuring Jarvis Guthrie, Jr.

Welcome back to UNBOXED on Purpose!

In Episode 86, we are honored to welcome back Brother Jarvis Guthrie—a servant leader, justice ambassador, and living testimony of God’s transformative power. You may remember him from Episode 9, “Saved by Grace” (March 14, 2024), where he shared how Saved by Grace Ministries was birthed while he was incarcerated from 2012–2014.

Since then, Brother Jarvis has continued to walk faithfully in his calling:

✨ Ordained minister since 2015

✨ Bachelor’s degree in Supervision & Management – Florida State College of Jacksonville

✨ Justice Ambassador for Prison Fellowship, advocating for returning citizens in Washington, D.C.

✨ Fatherhood Specialist with Family Support Services, helping fathers reunite with their children

✨ Visionary of a 60-acre reentry program in Palatka, FL—Nazareth Farms, a refuge for returning citizens

In this powerful conversation, Brother Jarvis shares his Kingdom Assignment—a God-given mission to empower men transitioning from prison back into society with dignity, faith, and purpose. From tackling the heartbreak of generational cycles to building pathways of restoration, his story will challenge and inspire you to see how God can use every season of life for His glory.

🔹 Key Themes We Unbox Together:

• The challenges and triumphs of developing a reentry program
•

• What the Church and community often overlook when it comes to returning citizens

UNBOXED on Purpose – Episode: A Damascus Experience

In this compelling episode, we journey with Roy Lee Jarmon—affectionately known as Simon, your Poetry Man—as he shares his transformative story of resilience, revelation, and purpose. Raised on farms in Mississippi among many siblings, Roy experienced unique moments of solitude and mentorship with his godfather that deeply shaped his early life and love for reading.

After enduring confusing and painful experiences, Roy was ultimately diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Through prayer, professional counseling, and unrelenting faith, he began a journey of healing that led him to his calling: advocating for veterans and expressing the complexities of life through poetry.

Now based in New Jersey, Roy dedicates his time to supporting fellow veterans and educating civilians on how to cultivate more compassionate relationships with those impacted by war-related trauma. In this episode, he shares powerful insights and reads some of his favorite original poems, offering a window into the soul of a man whose journey to purpose was anything but ordinary.

Tune in to hear how a Damascus Road moment changed everything—and birthed a poet, a veteran’s advocate, and a voice for the unheard.
