(English Below)

In this episode of the Uncertain Pathfinders Podcast, we step into a different kind of conversation—one that begins not from a professional network, but from personal connections. On today's Chinese-language episode, our guest, 魚魚老師, was the previous preschool teacher to the daughter of one of our hosts, Jeffrey. When we learned she would be leaving teaching to pursue a new path in interior design, it sparked questions:
👉 What does it feel like to suddenly jump out our zone of comfort to pursue new challenges, like a fish out of water?
In this conversation, Jeffrey, Miranda, and 魚魚老師 explore the Uncertainty of changing careers, the courage it takes to become a beginner again, and what it means to feel like a “fish out of water” in a completely new environment. We talk about her love for teaching, the tension between personal values and family expectations, and the quiet practices—like journaling—that help her stay connected to herself along the way. Along the journey, we even take a playful detour into the philosophy of 小費包, and reflect on what it means to keep learning, growing, and challenging ourselves as we get older.
This is a story about transition, identity, and the spaces in between—where Uncertainty plays a major role.
