Uncharted Leadership for Women episodes

  • Give Yourself Grace, Align with Your Body

In this episode of Uncharted, Jamie shares the third pillar of the GRACE framework: "A" — Align with Your Body. Moving beyond Getting Quiet and Rebuilding Community, Jamie explores what it means to stop managing our physical home from the "outside in" and start listening from the "inside out".

Drawing on somatic science, research from The Body Keeps the Score and When the Body Says No, and her own experiences at a 10-day silent Vipassana meditation retreat, Jamie dives deep into how unprocessed stress and stored emotions manifest physically in our bodies.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • How societal expectations and "hustle culture" teach us to override our body's warning signs

    • The two ways our bodies react when we don't listen: going quiet (numbness) or getting louder (illness and pain)

    • The body as an archive of our lived experiences and suppressed emotions

    • Practical somatic ways to begin repairing your relationship with your body, including body scans, slow yoga, and intuitive movement

    Journaling Prompts from this episode:

    1. When was the first time you remember feeling shame about your body?

    2. What beliefs did you form about your body from that moment—and which ones still show up in the mirror today?

    3. Have you ever punished or overridden your body when it asked for rest?

    4. What has your body carried that you’ve never given it credit for?

    5. If your body could say one thing to you right now, what is it trying to tell you?

  • Give Yourself Grace, Rebuild Your Community

Many of us are surrounded by people and still feel deeply alone. In this episode, I explore the second pillar of my GRACE framework, Rebuild Your Community, and why so many women have been performing connection instead of actually feeling it. We look at how we lost the village, why loneliness today is structural and not a personal failing, and how our nervous systems were built to regulate together. Stay to the end for a humming breathwork practice that calms your body from the inside out.

  • Giving Ourselves Grace, Starting with Getting Quit

So many of us have been running in fight or flight for so long that we've forgotten what safe feels like. In this episode, I take you inside the first session of my GRACE cohort series, Get Quiet, the root of everything else in the framework. We explore what's happening in your nervous system when you're always on, why your body, your intuition and your relationships all depend on finding your way back to rest, and how a simple breath can start to change everything. Stay to the end for a guided breathwork practice and meditation you can do right where you are.

  • What Tears are Really Saying

I've been in my feelings lately and I'm finally listening.

It started with a night at the movies, watching the new Michael Jackson biopic with my family. The tears that came weren't where I expected them and not in the obvious emotional moments, but in the ones that felt like knowing. That distinction became the thread for this episode: what if tears aren't weakness, sadness, or a loss of control? What if they're data?

In this episode, I unpack the many languages of tears from grief that surfaces unexpectedly to overwhelm that arrives with purpose, and the quiet and full-body recognition that something is true. I trace my own complicated relationship with emotion, from growing up as the oldest daughter in an alcoholic household, to mastering the art of suppression in the corporate world, to slowly learning through somatic therapy, meditation, Reiki, and two years of deep personal unraveling to trust what my body is trying to say.

This one is for any woman who has ever apologized for crying, stifled it back, or called herself "too sensitive." Those tears aren't the problem. They might actually be the point.

    In this episode:

    • Why I cried watching MJ and what it had to do with my son
    • Being a triple water sign who learned to run dry
    • The Valentine's Day grief I didn't see coming
    • Tears of sadness vs. tears of knowing and how to tell the difference
    • What it could mean for our teams, our culture, and our world if women were encouraged to feel instead of told to toughen up

  • The Busier the Better

The busier the better, or so we learned. Busy isn't the same as worthy but somewhere along the way, I decided it was. In this episode, I unpack where the busyness-as-value equation comes from, why it's so hard to put down, and what actually happens when you do. From a dinner that cracked my ego open to the grounded shift I watched happen in my own home after a 10-day silent retreat, this one is an honest look at what we're really chasing when we fill every hour of the day.

  • Past Lives, Pink Pony Club, and Imposter Syndrome

In this episode, I'm exploring the roots of confidence through a recent past-life regression, a karaoke moment at my sons' middle school, and the all-too-familiar fear that resurfaced when I began sharing my message with my old corporate world.

I reflect on imposter syndrome, the "sister wound," and how control becomes a coping mechanism when we don't fully trust ourselves. From weeping under hypnosis to watching fifth-grade girls scream Pink Pony Club without a single inhibition, I keep coming back to one question: when does fearlessness leave us? And, can we find our way back to it?

I also share an early glimpse at the GRACE framework, a fluid, feminine path for women navigating their own awakening. Raw, reflective, and deeply honest.

  • Balance Vs. Alignment: The Factors Behind Women's Burnout

The biggest lie we were ever told? That we can have it all and do it all perfectly.

In this episode, I'm revisiting some of my earliest reflections from my rechargement year, because I know so many of you are living exactly what I lived two years ago. And I want it to actually be useful.

I break down the two-part equation that leads to burnout, anxiety, and the physical symptoms so many high-achieving women know intimately: the imbalance of carrying too much, and the slow erosion of alignment that happens every time we mask who we truly are to fit into rooms that weren't built for us.

We talk about what it costs to quiet your intuition, dampen your doubt, and trade your superpowers for approval. Then what becomes possible when you finally stop.

The path back to yourself is more intuitive than you think. But it starts with one thing: getting quiet.

  • Stop. Regulate. And Listen.

In this episode of Uncharted, I’m getting real about something that’s changed my life: regulation. I spent years living in a state of total overwhelm, disconnected from my heart and soul while trying to juggle a high-pressure job and being a mom to young kids. I’m sharing what I’ve learned about shifting that "unregulated" energy and finding a way back to myself.

    • What Regulation Actually Is: To me, being regulated isn't about being "perfect" or always happy; it’s about having the awareness to feel my emotions like anger or stress and move through them without losing my cool.

    • My "Unregulated" Highlights: I look back at some of my toughest moments, like a total meltdown during my son's kindergarten admissions and a cake-related crisis at a 2nd birthday party.

    • Energy is a Broadcast: I talk about how our internal "frequency" acts like a broadcast that our kids, partners, and even pets pick up on. I even dive into how our stress as moms can impact our babies before they’re even born.

    • Healing for the Kids: One of the biggest reasons I did this work was for my boys. I’ve noticed that as I’ve learned to regulate, the energy in our whole house has shifted for the better.

    • The Quick Fixes: When I'm feeling the heat, I use things like splashing cold water on my face, box breathing, or the $5-7$ vagal nerve breath to get back into my body.

    • The Long Game: I’ve found that a daily meditation practice (even just 10 minutes) plus real rest and "play" time are what keep me from hitting a level 10 meltdown.

    • Body Cues: I share how listening to those random aches and pains in my back or hips actually helped me realize where I was storing emotional stress.

"When we regulate and get quiet, we clear the clutter and finally start to hear what we actually need."

  • Love Crone, Be done with Karen

When did we become a "Karen"? In this episode, I’m digging into something that has been nagging me, and honestly, the universe has flagged it enough times that I knew I had to address it. We’re talking about the cultural "expiration date" stamped on women as we age and the bizarre tension between the revered Crone of our past and the weaponized "Karen" of our present.

    In this conversation, I explore:

    • The "Karen" Trap: Why this meme is actually a modern-day "Scold’s Bridle" used to shame us into staying small and "likable" just when we’ve finally earned the right to speak up.

    • The Missing Piece of the Puzzle: Why we flinch at the word Crone and how we've been brainwashed to believe that once we're past a reproductive or "decorative" age, we’re no longer valuable to society.

    • The Paddle Court Reckoning: I share a story about a recent confrontation that perfectly illustrates how we’ve traded the reverence of the "Sage" for a punchline, and why we have to stop accepting that trade.
