I can't hold onto these fears and expect my heart to also receive the healing it needs to love again. Here is how I am walking through the insecurities that used to own and define me. When we are becoming new, the old can't come with us.

I have to get honest about the fear that surrounds me. I have to slow down enough to ask fear what its message is to me...and when I do, I'm surprised by its response.

Easier said than done. When life overwhelms you, we can pause and remember that God loves us. He didn't need our help with the sunrise today, and when we learn that God's really got us, it allows us to breathe and to just be.

I am not my storm. I am a child of God and I will rise through this storm. Come hell or high water, God's got us, and I'm not backing down.
