"There’s a key on my keyring and I have no idea what it’s for. I did a key audit today. All keys were accounted for except for one. No matter how hard I try, I can’t figure it out. Somehow the key has remained with new apartments, new cars and new jobs, and I can’t even remember the last time that I’ve used it. It’s just something I carry with me and even though it MIGHT be useful, it actually isn’t because whatever it opens, I don’t even remember that I have access to it, and it isn’t helping me in my day-to-day life. It doesn’t have a purpose. It’s not opening any doors. It’s just there. It got me thinking about other things I’ve been carrying."

"I asked my dad to scan photos of little Dionne during the summer because I was in the reminiscing mood. I was ridiculously cute in case you had any doubts. I can’t stop thinking about one of the photos. It’s of me in a pair of old school roller skates with a crop top holding pink and blue My Little Ponies. I’ll be posting it to my Instagram because it’ll have you smiling for days. What struck me about this photo was how confident I looked wearing these skates."

"I was visiting with friends today, and at some point, one of them asked me if I wanted to look at their collection. It was a new hobby for them. I wasn’t interested so my response was, “No,” and just like that, there was a shift in the air. It was obvious that this friend was not expecting to hear that answer. The typical expected response to a question like that is an enthusiastic yes because our default mode is geared towards solidifying connection and making sure others feel….I don’t know…important? Secure? No, Johnny, I do not want to look at the dead frog that’s been run over in the street. Thanks for asking. We don’t say that though."

"I’ve been having lots of interesting conversations lately, and the theme has been around value. The value we place on ourselves. The value we place on our talents. The value we place on our time. The value we place on anything at all. My question for you today is this: How are you deciding what’s valuable? What is it based on? We all have a point of reference that we’re using and I want to challenge all of us to burn it to the ground. I realized that I can be guilty of deciding what something is worth based on what feels realistic instead of how I want things to be. I typically want things to be over the top! And there’s nothing wrong with that but if I’m honest with myself, depending on the thing, my default mode can be to de-value instead of over-value. Anyone else?"
