This is it for us down here in Zone C Florida this week, deer season opens Saturday morning at 6:41 AM is legal shooting light according to my calculations. Good luck to all you lovely people this weekend, I’ll be heading up to our lease in Georgia to try and put this ole bear recurve to work. This week we sat down with Derek Norwood of Derek Norwood outdoors. He’s a Florida native who has quite a few tricks up his sleeve for locating whitetails in some less than desirable locations down here. We had a great time discussing tactics and his YouTube channel and we hope you guys will enjoy it.

    What a wonderful day it is today! Do you know why? No? Well let me tell you, it's the last week in August, and when August is over it’s September and do you know what happens in September for most of us? That's right! It's deer season, baby! I’m absolutely pumped for this year and I'm itching to climb a tree with the ole recurve and do my best to put some meat in the freezer.
