Under The Abbey Stand

Same team, different year. Tom Walker and Julian sit down to try and dissect the three games from the Christmas period, including a win on Boxing Day which seems like a lifetime ago. There's a lot of talk about the January window and what went wrong in the summer, but also a note of optimism - it's not all doom and gloom... yet.

It's not pretty listening again ladies and gentlemen. This week Julian and Tom find time in their busy World Cup viewing schedule to not just watch Forest Green away on iFollow, but also to pod straight after it. It's basically another week of attempting to analyse just what the hell is going wrong at United at the moment.

Things go from bad to worse at the Abbey, and making sense of it all are Jack Swindlehurst, Tom Walker and Matt Caspell. We review a goalless midweek draw with Curzon Ashton, a goalless Saturday defeat to Accrington, and look forward to a no doubt goalless FA Cup game against Grimsby at the weekend.

Jordan Worland is in the hosting hotseat this week as he's joined by Tom Walker and Matt Caspell to discuss all things Cambridge United, and Saturdays draw against Bolton Wanderers. Matt also takes a quick trip across the Atlantic to interview the Canadian branch of the Accrington Stanley fan club, before rushing back to London for the FSA Awards on Monday night, where UTAS have been nominated for Best Club Podcast.

Firstly, well done for tuning in this week. It's a slightly shorter pod for the sole reason that it's an extremely tough task to analyse a 0-0 cup draw away at Curzon Ashton, but being the brave podcasters that we are, Julian Roberts and Tom Walker still jumped on a call to provide this essential social service. There's some Sam Smith, Saikou Janneh and Harvey Knibbs chat, and a live FA Cup draw as well.

It was derby day defeat for the U's... but somehow there was a win at Wycombe to discuss as well. Swings and roundabouts, and to talk through every detail this week Julian Roberts is joined by Tom Walker and Jordan Worland, as well as Dredz to help preview our FA Cup First Round tie at Curzon Ashton.
