She is currently investigating how urban water systems impact distant rural communities whose lands are cleared for reservoirs. As a professor of anthropology, April teaches courses on Native American culture, museum ethics, and forensic anthropology. Lectures for her archaeology seminar, Ruins and Haunting History, are available on Youtube. Her most recent book is Identifying and Interpreting Animal Bones: A Manual, published by Texas A&M University Press. April lives and teaches in the Hudson Valley of New York and spends most of her free time exploring landscapes by bicycle.

Peter's Bio: Peter Kuchar is a former data manager with UK’s North of England Commissioning support unit which itself is part of England’s National health service. He is moving to Mauritius with his wife to look after his mother-in-law.

Ever since he started in archaeology, GIS and later data management have been his passions. He enjoys problem solving and making things easier for others.

Growing up in Slovakia, then US and U.K. and now moving to Mauritius has taught him how to adapt to circumstances which are often beyond his control.
