What a weekend it was for rockstar refs as City get a penalty, Liverpool get a penalty, Manchester United get a penalty, Leeds get a penalty, Leicester get a penalty, Chelsea get 2 penalties, Jimenez gets sent off bizarrely and on Sunday afternoon everyone learned what a Michael Masi is as Max Verstappen wins the F1 world championship, helping to distract everyone from Super League conquerers West Ham failing to beat Burnley.
It's Under the Floodlights Derby week, but before we get there we're chatting Spotify Wrapped, Mason Mount being the second best player in the world behind Mbappe, who is going to write Divock Origi's book, Bernardo Silva's wand, Brighton (strangely), Newcastle not knowing how to win, the state of Everton and the fallout from Euro 2020.
... And yes we talk about what happened at 1230 on Saturday.
We are officially into Christmas ball after game cancellations, extended half times, Premier League games on midweek and pictures of Sean Dyche in shirt and tie. Elsewhere we're chatting about Jorginho's touch, Sky airing Brentford v Everton, Benfica, All or Nothing : Juventus, and Declan Rice on a Tuesday night
After a close death of International Football, we are back for a great slate of Premier League ball. We reflect on the 3 years of OGS, Watford running riot, Ben White being sent back to Brighton by Jota, Eddie Howe on the phone, Leicester being put back in their place, the new managers at Norwich & Villa and Phil Neville is in the mud!
Get involved!
It is firing week! Absolutely everyone is on the chopping block as Spurs, Norwich and Villa all decide change is needed before internationals. Elsewhere we’ve got a new ball, Roy Keane has a day and a West Ham fan loses a finger on their travels in Europe.
Another week of Under the Floodlights and everything’s coming up Bailey as Amanda Staveley’s operating software tries to compute why Newcastle still haven’t won under the Saudis, Liverpool draw at home against an impressive Brighton, Wilfried Zaha and Conor Gallagher stun the Etihad, Aaron Ramsdale gets his fair share of headlines, and is the Ringland Bump back?
Elsewhere we say farewell to a Premier League legend...
What a weekend it is for us Premier League supremacists as the best 3 teams in Europe have themselves a day. While elsewhere we can now talk about Watford, West Ham and Tottenham play a Europa League fixture on a Sunday and we say goodbye to Steve Bruce. We already miss you.
Oh and there may even be a mention of what went on at Old Trafford this weekend...
After another quick break we have a slightly longer pod than usual because there are a million things to discuss.
We're Chatting:
Anthony Taylor in the Nations League Final
Scotland
Jamal Lewis' sending off
Paul Merson's documentary
Ted Lasso Season 2 Finale
Saudi Arabia
Dec & Ant
Danny Rose's horrible 8 minutes
The easiest hat trick in PL history?

and Jake Humphrey
What a week!
What a perfect way to send us all into the international break. Super Sunday lives up to its name, Mike Dean ruins Pep Guardiola’s day as 4th official, Mike Dean tries to ruin Bailey's Saturday from Stockely Park, Leicester bottle it, Brighton win on xG but not in real life, Chris has himself in a pretzel after Brentford beat West Ham and of course Watford are the first club to sack their manager.
On a weekend where Europe get smoked in the Ryder cup, Anthony Joshua gets schooled in the ring, Lewis hamilton wins his 100th GP, everyone has run out of petrol and Fifa 22 is already ruining controllers, we are back with some football related nonsense...
