April 19, 2023EP114: Bringing The Observer InJoining Kate & Wyn this week is coach and counselor, Teri Whiteman. Teri shares about her initial burn out as a counselor and what she has experienced for herself that has then changed how she helps others. From taking her hands off the wheel to allowing what is showing up in the present moment, she delves into what she has seen so far about how life works. Teri’s Contact Info and Bio:[email protected]As a Coach/Therapist, it’s the navigation of my own life transitions that I find most valuable in helping others give rise to change in their lives. Eleven years ago, I went through a health crisis which shook me to my core. Through that, I found the 3 Principles, or they found me! It was transformational in the sense of showing me a more graceful way to navigate life. I was able to see how these Principles are the flow that has carried me through many of my own life transitions, even when I was not aware of them. Understanding this has helped me move through life with less effort, which frees up energy to be alive to the experience of life. I’m a huge lover of Nature! I see Nature as a partner in my coaching; a natural guide for how to live life with more ease and Grace. As a “True Nature” guide, I metaphorically walk beside clients with love and compassion, gently pointing them to the wisdom that flows through them. My greatest hope for clients is that, through understanding how the human experience works, they can embrace being human while living life free to be who they really are, without mental constraints. I think our greatest wish as humans is internal freedom.I have been in the field of mental health and well-being for over 30 years. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have worked with individuals, families, and groups from a traditional, psychologically based platform. After experiencing burnout and discouragement from looking at people through the limited lens of psychology, I am filled with hope and love as I watch clients wake up to their innate mental health and the freedom that lies within. I now worked as a Coach/Therapist helping clients expand areas of constriction, opening up to the natural flow of life. I love what I do and the clients I work with!
