Under the Pendulum Podcast

This episode, we will be putting Human Sacrifices under the pendulum. We have a special guest on the show to talk about the methods and history of human sacrifice from around the world. We'll look at archaeological evidence as well as textual evidence. So get in our imaginary boat on a sea of blood for our tour of human sacrifice!

This episode will close out the two-part series on Father Oschwald and the settlement at St. Nazianz. We will dive deeper into the reasons for his emigration, the problems getting to Wisconsin, and the hardships of the settlers. Oh to be 19th century immigrants...

Welcome to the first, and very rough, episode of Under the Pendulum Podcast! This episode is the first part of a two-part series. Heather, Chris, and Kaitlin are looking at urban legends and ghost stories from the small town of St. Nazianz, WI. They will recount some legends, look for their possible origins, and discuss the very German founder, Father Ambrose Oschwald, as he attempts to create a cult in Germany, but looks to the US for settlement.
