Episode 11: Kim Ducharme “Connecting with Youth”

Kim Ducharme is Social Justice Warrior! She was born and raised in Fort Frances, but has truly felt at home in Thunder Bay for over 30 years.

Kim began connecting with youth as a Child and Youth Worker, which led to managing mental health programs for children, youth and their families. She is now teaching in the Child and Youth Care program at Confederation College.

She says her biggest take away from working with marginalized populations is the call and passion for activism.

Angela Gollat is an intuitive artist, creative guide, mother and mystic living in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Creator of a unique 7-week creative container she calls ‘Painting as a Spiritual Practice’, she has guided thousands of women through the process of discovering and creating their own visionary paintings.

Angela also spends much of her time creating transformative spaces for groups and individuals though retreats, mindful consulting and strategic planning, visioning, conflict resolution, as well as facilitating ongoing mindfulness practices within organizations. Her approach to her work largely centres around encouraging the cultivation of personal awareness and self care through contemplative and creative practices, and is rooted in a deep belief in the interconnectedness of all of life.

She truly is a teacher that embodies her teachings.

Yolanda has an HBA in Political Science and is a Master of Education student at Lakehead University. She is a member of the Whitesand First Nation with a diverse experience in Indigenous governance and politics. Yolanda served her First Nation as a one of the youngest female Band Councillors. She serves her community through charitable work, promoting cultural humility, and storytelling.
