This week, the boys attempt to answer the question of why the DC fanbase, in terms of the comics or the movies, are an angry fanbase. They go into the entitlement of fans, how DC as a company contributes to that division, and why a hang up of nostalgia is killing DC comics as a brand and a fanbase.
Woe be the naive fans who decide to differ from the opinions of the gatekeeping minority of DC fans.
What do you think? Why do you think the DC fanbase is so divided? How would you unite the fanbase?

This week, Jared and the boys discuss certain creatives attacking their fans. This could come in the form of actors attacking people for liking the SnyderVerse, show runners attacking fans for disliking their shows, and many other issues in creative/customer relations.
There is a sacred trust between the creative and the customers and, unfortunately, that trust is often taken for granted on the creative side and abused by entitled hacks.
What do you think? Are the creatives entitled? What is your reaction when a creative attacks the fans?

This week, the boys discuss the era of comics when DC and Marvel merged their characters into the Amalgam Comics Universe. It's is from here characters like Darkclaw, Amazon, Super Solider, and Iron Lantern among others. They also propose their own amalgamated DC/Marvel characters that were not used.
These are some characters who could do well with an animated series. Unfortunately, these companies are much too petty to split the money to cooperate on this ever again.
What do you think? Were you a fan of Amalgam? Which was your favorite Amalgam book? What ideas for Amalgam do you have?

This week, Jared welcomes longtime friend of Comics league Tristen from Nerdette's Newstand to discuss the age old debate, Are Comics Woke. This should be a good one!
This week, the boys discuss the circumstances in which gatekeeping is not only justified, but also needed. They discuss the times when gatekeeping is not justified, how some take it too far, why it is necessary to gatekeep creatives more than fans, and so much more.
Gatekeeping has gotten a bad reputation of late, but there are times when it is necessary to control who can contribute to the legacies of these legendary IPs.
What do you think? Is gatekeeping sometimes justified? When is it not justified? What examples would you give for positive gatekeeping? Is Batman a hypocrite?

This week, Jared and Nick provide the origin of Comics League and debate the question of how and why comic book fans became so hostile online. They discuss why fans are so possessive, when it is justified, and when it is not.
Fandom should be a fun community to bring people together out of a common love of content. But sometimes, it can be a toxic place of division. To be clear, protectiveness and gatekeeping can be positive, but there are times where it goes too far.
What do you think? Why do you think the online discourse about comic books got so toxic? How would you fix the fandome?

This week, Jared conducts a sales analysis of the New 52 Superman/Wonder Woman series that canonized the SuperWonder series in an effort to dispel any misconceptions that the series and the New 52 were failures. He compares the sales of this book to equivalent series from Rebirth, the supposed apology tour for the New 52. Jared then concludes and discusses why Rebirth was not the best idea.
SuperWonder was not a critical or commercial bomb by any means, and I hope this analysis helps to dispel the narrative that this coupling was a commercial flop and Lois is the only financially viable partner for Superman.
What do you think? Did you enjoy this series? Do you agree that it was a profitable series?
