Why did Luke Stop Looking for his Blue Lightsaber?
"Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber. It was the most precious item he possessed.
It was handed down by Obi-Wan Kenobi, the most important mentor in the force that he’d ever known, and used by his father during the Clone Wars before that.
The lightsaber was more than a weapon.
It was a connection between Luke,
a farm boy from a desert planet, and one of the most powerful institutions in the galaxy, the Jedi Order.
Without it, he never felt like a Jedi. Even with it, he often doubted whether or not he could ever become a Jedi, or whether he was wasting the Rebellion’s time with false hope.
So, why then, after his duel with Darth Vader in Bespin, and after losing both his hand and his lightsaber, did he give up searching for it?"
