What is the Breastplate of Righteousness that Ephesians 6 talks about?

You may be surprised about how we get it.  Never forget that in this spiritual war that we are fighting, that you are on the right side.  The ultimate God, the Creator of the Universe is on your side if you believe in Jesus Christ.

"Gird up your loins with truth"

What does this mean?  Well you have to look at the historical perspective and the cultural perspective when studying this phrase.  It has to do with what people wore in that time period, and specifically what the Roman Soldiers wore when they dressed for battle.

Truth matters.  How much does it matter?  It affects your entire preparation for spiritual warfare and determines your success rate when it comes to winning battles and achieving the goals you have as a soldier in the Christian army.

So what is your duty as a soldier of God?  Have you acknowledged that you are a combatant in a spiritual war?

Did you know that we have one primary duty or General Order from God? and that it requires us to act as honorable soldiers?

An honorable and courageous soldier has two main jobs.  The first is to fight the evil that your army is standing against, the second is to save people's lives.  Usually, an evil tyrant or leader is subjugating and terrorizing people.  These are the people we are meant to help while we fight a cosmic battle that has been going on since time began.  Never fear though, we have God on our side and we know that He wins when it is all said and done!

This is a continuation of Ep. 35 which is part 2 of "We are in a War, are you acting like it?"

Starting with the classes of angels I give lots of Bible verses in this one about who are enemy is.  Keep in mind that the enemy is both spiritual (forces of evil such as Demons) as well as physical (humans that you must stand against in this life).

Never forget that you are a soldier in God's army and that you are in a fight whether you want to be or not, whether you realize it or not, whether you are prepared or not.

Who is our enemy in this great cosmic battle of good vs. evil?

Where does the enemy come from?  How do we fight?

As literal soldiers, we need to recognize that we are in a war, train ourselves, and actually engage the enemy.  If we do not, we are in danger of becoming a casualty.  The problem is that we are not innocent bystanders, we are not collateral damage if this happens.  We are actual combatants and it is our DUTY to fight evil, and it is OUR fault if we fail to recognize the war and fail to train ourselves to fight.

What is Micro Evolution?  Does the Bible support it?  Surprisingly, yes and no.  The term is faulty but the Bible clearly talks about changes within a "kind" or species that do not alter what kind of plant or animal it is.  

Interesting to note, the Bible appears to explain breeding to bring out recessive genes/traits in at least two different animal species.  Also, the fossil record clearly shows a LACK of change within species.

This life is not all there is.  As a believer in Jesus Christ you are part of something bigger than yourself, bigger than life itself.  You are part of a spiritual war that has been going on since time began.  God is real.  Satan is real.  They are the ultimate sources of Good and Evil and you and I must choose a side.  If you are a Believer in Jesus, then you have chosen the side of Good.

The Creator of the universe is on our side and we have enlisted in His army.  If you were not aware of this, you need to listen to this episode.  If you are already aware, do you realize the impact of this on your current life?

Esprit De Corps, means the "spirit of the corporation (body or group)".

What is the Spirit of your group of believers?  Do you have the type of fellowship that a family has?  or that of close brothers?  or that of soldiers willing to die for each other?

Take the lessons I learned from the Marine Corps about this principle and see if you can apply it to your fellow believers.  Hopefully this is not a new take on Christian brotherhood for you.  If it is new to you, please seriously consider the significance of being a brother to your fellow believer.

1 Peter 2:17 "Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king."

 Did you know that most of our founding fathers were young?  Some were even 18 years old. (By the way, I incorrectly stated that James Madison was the oldest.  He was not).

In your celebrations, don't forget to remember the sacrifice and dedication of these young men who were willing to DIE to stand for what was right....freedom and justice for all!  (yes, despite the lying media, schools, and government; our founding fathers intended to abolish slavery and to provide freedom for ALL that wished to become citizens in the new nation).
