Understanding the Bible

The two main doctrines of Mormonism that prove they are not Christian are explained here. There are many more beliefs that they have and that they teach that are inconsistent with the Bible, but there is not enough time to cover it all. These two things definitively prove that they do not worship the same god that we do. Words matter. However, definitions matter more. What people MEAN when they say a word can change dramatically what was said.

Mormons believe in a god that they have chosen to name Jesus Christ, they DO NOT believe in the Jesus Christ of the Bible. Yet they use the Bible and twist the words of Jesus Christ just like Satan did in the garden of Eden and when he tempted Jesus in the desert.

Happy Easter! This is a quick explanation for those who don't quite know what the celebration is about. If you thought Easter is about the bunny, pastel colors, and Easter Eggs, you might want to listen to this! LOL Trust me, I am aware of the religious implications of the Bunny (sex) and the eggs (life) as well as the cultural appropriation of pagan religions into Christianity.

That's not what this is about. This episode presents a very brief retelling of the story, with a simple explanation of what the Gospel is.

Listen to this on the way to wherever you have to go today and take a quick moment to think about the blessings in your life. As long as there is life, there is hope. Once you are dead, you have no ability to determine your fate, so make your decisions in this life wisely.

Another school shooting, here we go again. So we know that a female, claiming to be a male, went into the private Christian school and opened fire, killing several people.

What should the Christian response be beyond the typical "Our thoughts and prayers are with you"? Frankly, I'm getting tired of that. Following God requires action, not merely prayers. Don't get me wrong, prayer is powerful, and if that is all you are able to do; then by all means, you SHOULD pray. However, there are a couple of things that we can do if we believe in Jesus Christ.

First, we need to show God's love and REFUTE THE LIES. Satan is the father of lies and we need to stop partaking in the national lying that is taking place. Secondly, we need to prepare our minds and bodies to do the right thing.

You need to listen to this episode before the next shooting happens, because God forbid, it may happen where you are.

The whole Bible is true. That means the 39 books of the Old Testament, and the 27 books of the New, for a total of 66 books. Every verse, every word, every jot and tittle is God breathed.

This podcast explains the canon of the two testaments, how Jesus affirmed them to be His Word, and why it is important for us to firmly believe it all. If you choose to not believe one verse, I guarantee that we can find someone around the world that refuses to believe each of the other verses in the Bible. Who is right? Either all of it is from God, or you can't trust ANY of it.

Often times the question arises whether or not other religions are good or do they have truth in them. This episode deals specifically with Buddhism and how the answers to the questions raised in Buddhism can be found in the Bible. Some of the main problems that Buddhism attempts to address is the fact that there is suffering in the world and WHY is there suffering and how do we deal with it. Buddhism by itself cannot fully answer these questions and that is why they explain the need for constant rebirth until one finally understands and reaches the state of Nirvana.

Unfortunately this is not the complete truth. The Bible holds the answers and ultimately the TRUTH that Jesus Christ is the only way to reach the idea of Nirvana. Buddhism does not have this concept correct. In REALITY, because there is objective reality despite what your perception is, Nirvana is not nothingness, it is a place called Heaven where GOD reigns and there is no more suffering. You can find JOY and PEACE in this life, and have the promise of eternal joy and peace in Heaven.

This is a podcast more about discernment and the fact that believers should follow Jesus more than any movement or human being.  The church is literally Ekklessia or "called out ones" not a building.  If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, whether you go to a particular church, or align yourself with a particular denomination or not; then you are to be set apart from the world.  Be careful of who you listen to.

Remember that the Apostle Paul himself said that the Bereans were more noble than other believers because THEY SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES DAILY to see if what he was telling them was true.  Paul thought believers that didn't believe him were noble.  That is how far we should go in trusting a chosen leader or pastor.  Listen to this podcast and please let me know your thoughts.  I can be reached at [email protected].  God bless you!

I wanted to apologize for missing my Tuesday podcast, I've been sick.

This is just a quick explanation of where I am coming from and why I host this podcast.  If you want to learn a little bit about me, check out this episode.  I also give you my qualifications and how I got to this point in publishing a podcast about the Bible.

The average man of God is not a soldier or a pastor in his profession.  There is definitely a place for those, but this episode is about the normal everyday follower of Jesus Christ.  What makes us Godly mechanics, cooks, concrete workers, welders, etc?  What does the Bible say about the average Joe?  

Believe it or not, the Bible says quite a lot about the right work ethic, the wisdom, the honor, and the duty of working a regular job.  Don't forget that Jesus learned how to be a carpenter at the feet of his earthly father as he grew up.  Remember that people often questioned how he was so smart about the things of God when he was "only a carpenter's son".  

There are a few things the Bible definitely encourages you to do in your chosen profession, as a man.  This podcast shares the specific verses that explain the need for strength and a good work ethic.  You can fulfill your duty as a man, and be a righteous man, as a blue collar worker.  You should strive to have the right kind of pride in the abilities that God has given you and your reputation among men for your work ethic.

Yes, the Bible talks about three main types of love.  I want to share what it says about EROTIC love on Valentines Day because this is something that many churches and pastors do not get into.  Be aware that I do get a bit descriptive with the Song of Solomon in this episode, so keep away from innocent ears.

The Greek words are transliterated as EROS, PHILEO, and AGAPE; roughly described as erotica, brotherly love, and unconditional choice.

You've heard of toxic masculinity right?  Well I have a different take on that.  God actually approves of masculinity.  Men aught to be manly, tough, strong, wise, and also loving and kind.  The Bible says moderation in all things, it does not say to disregard the way he made us and pretend to be feminine.  Listen to this episode to learn the right way to be a MANLY Man and not a weak man.
