The goal is to address issues and topics that you won't hear in a regular church such as the difference between men and women's views on sex, sexual positions, lifestyle choices, multiple wives/partners, etc.

The Bible warns us many times to watch out for false teachers.  As the world gets crazier and crazier, false teachers will come out of the woodwork and attempt to confuse believers and unbelievers alike.  Remember that the serpent in the garden of Eden attempted to confuse Eve about what God had told her.  This is nothing new, it is just becoming more common.

Are you strong enough in your faith, do you have enough knowledge about God and the Bible to be able to confront a false teacher?

This is the conclusion to the 9 part series on Spiritual Warfare.  The whole point is that we must be willing to fight and take an active part in the war.  Sitting on the sidelines is not an option.  We aren't the "backup string" in a football game.

People who choose not to believe the Holy Bible are either unwitting or willing pawns of the devil.  They are either on his side actively committing evil, or prisoners of his that he uses in this physical world whether they are aware of it or not.  Believers are enlisted soldiers in a battle to free souls from the clutches of the Devil.

We are to be watchmen (soldiers on guard), warriors, and witnesses (to tell others about Jesus Christ).  Nothing less than that is honorable.

The helmet protects the head which is needed for life.  All other armor is useless if you take a blow to your unprotected head in battle.

The helmet of salvation is similar in that, if you don't have it, what is the point of fighting in the war?

Technically, the verse says; "your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace."  I like to think of my military days and the boots I wore.  They protected my feet and enabled me (prepared me) to be able to march into battle and to have a firm foundation when I fought.  A soldier cannot travel by foot or fight if his feet are not taken care of.  Have you ever tried to run or fight with a sprained ankle?  Yeah, that's just not happening.

You have to take care of your feet and proper footwear goes a long way towards doing that.  A Believer's footwear is the Gospel.

Do you have the Gospel?

What is the Breastplate of Righteousness that Ephesians 6 talks about?

"Gird up your loins with truth"

What does this mean?  Well you have to look at the historical perspective and the cultural perspective when studying this phrase.  It has to do with what people wore in that time period, and specifically what the Roman Soldiers wore when they dressed for battle.

Truth matters.  How much does it matter?  It affects your entire preparation for spiritual warfare and determines your success rate when it comes to winning battles and achieving the goals you have as a soldier in the Christian army.
