Understanding the Bible

God's view on sex may be a little different than what you would expect.   Have you heard Christians say that sex is "dirty" or "bad" or that we shouldn't talk about it?  Have you thought that the Bible "just doesn't address it that much"? or that the Bible only talks about punishment for sex outside of marriage and the things you can't do?

Well, I've got news for you, the Bible DOES talk about sex and even encourages it, promotes it, and describes the pleasure of it.  I promise you that the Bible is actually full of the JOY of sex and the fact that the above perceptions of it are wrong.

Sex and Submission in marriage is a very intimate, scary, personal, and emotional topic for most people.  As a Christian, the Bible warns us of several things that directly pertain to sex and several things that pertain to ALL areas of our life.  This first episode delves into those cautions and things that we should be thinking about while we read about this topic.

The way that we choose to participate in sex with our spouse has MANY aspects to it and one elephant in the room is each individuals personal preferences and desires.  We know that we have them but many times we are afraid to talk about them.  Because we don't talk about it, many Christians don't even know if what they are doing is right or wrong, sinful or not, and they are scared to ask their pastor because it is so personal.

Remember that the answer to every question is "what does the Bible say?"  If someone tells you that something is a sin, but they can't show you the book, chapter, and verse that proves it, then that thing is not necessarily a sin.  It might be their personal conviction for THEIR life.  Do your convictions, do your beliefs, do your ideas of right and wrong come from GOD, or from mankind?

The Bible warns us many times to watch out for false teachers.  As the world gets crazier and crazier, false teachers will come out of the woodwork and attempt to confuse believers and unbelievers alike.  Remember that the serpent in the garden of Eden attempted to confuse Eve about what God had told her.  This is nothing new, it is just becoming more common.

This is the conclusion to the 9 part series on Spiritual Warfare.  The whole point is that we must be willing to fight and take an active part in the war.  Sitting on the sidelines is not an option.  We aren't the "backup string" in a football game.

People who choose not to believe the Holy Bible are either unwitting or willing pawns of the devil.  They are either on his side actively committing evil, or prisoners of his that he uses in this physical world whether they are aware of it or not.  Believers are enlisted soldiers in a battle to free souls from the clutches of the Devil.

We are to be watchmen (soldiers on guard), warriors, and witnesses (to tell others about Jesus Christ).  Nothing less than that is honorable.
