Episode seven, the final episode of season one - stars soul and RnB artist, Beth Macari. Beth has had many years of experience within the music industry and achieved a top 10 single in the dance music charts. Hannah and Katie had a lovely chat with her all about her experiences; including what it was like working for a record label, sexism within the music industry and how it felt being apart of the first-ever socially distanced music venue. As well as playing a classic game of kiss, marry, kill featuring Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin and Lizzo!

Episode six features indie-rock artist Keiran Bowe. Keiran is from Gateshead, here in the North East of England and talks about how the area he's grown up in effects his music. As well as how he first got into music, the release of his up and coming EP and how he is terrible at Geography...

Episode five is starring grunge band Bliss made up of Adam, Liam, Joseph and Ryan. Hannah, Katie and the boys play a game of kiss, marry, kill including artists such as Green Day, Nirvana and Bring Me The Horizon. As well as discussing topics such as their band name, the release of their brand new single Untitled and their dream tour destinations.

Episode four features singer/songwriter, Ryan Robinson. Ryan is from Sunderland in the North East of England and has been practising music for a few years now. Today he sat down with Hannah and Katie to discuss dream tour venues, musical 'guilty pleasures' and his future plans for his music.

Episode three stars DJ UPRAW, a disc jockey and record label owner based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. During this episode, they discuss how being a DJ has evolved over the years, the best 'music scene' and what it's like owning a record label. As well as playing a game of Kiss, Marry, Kill.

Episode two stars punk band M4SS PRODUCTION consisting of Aaron, Eggy, Joseph and Jonny. During their time on the podcast, they discuss their band name, dream tour destinations and what they've got planned for the following months. As well as playing the dreaded game of Kiss, Marry, Kill including artists such as Green Day, Joy Division, John Mayer, Megadeath and MORE!

Episode 1 features the Undiscovered Sounds hosts - Hannah Turnbull and Katie Shackleton, interviewing each other and providing a first look at the structure of this podcast. They discuss topics such as record companies versus self-employment, sexism in the music industry and their band, The Sightseers. As well as playing games including 'Kiss, Marry, Kill' and 'Finish The Lyric' mentioning artists such as Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, James Blunt and many more.

Introducing Undiscovered Sounds, the podcast dedicated to interviewing independent or local artists and bands, based in the North East of England. Hosted by Hannah Turnbull and Katie Shackleton, both born and raised in Gateshead. They have been in and out the music scene for nearly four years and are also in a band themselves. There will be a new episode every Friday with a range of different guests - stay tuned.
