Nick Del Bianco is a former professional volleyball player and currently runs his own company called Athlete Wellness Academy that aims to help athletes connect their physical and mental performance together.   Nick played professionally for a number of years throughout Europe after winning national championships and being named CIS Volleyball Player of the Year at Trinity Western University.  As the conversations around mental health in sports continues to rise, this episode of the podcast looked at how Nick personally dealt with the mental pressures of sport and how he's helping athletes do the same. We touched on the importance of focusing on the 20hrs we spend away from our sport, the notion that athletes are taught to grind through our struggles and even discuss specific tools and strategies to start improving your mental health!

Omer Abdallah is a former defensive lineman for the Saint Mary's University men's football team in Halifax Nova Scotia. Omer's family hails from Djibouti where sports is played mainly for recreation. From an early age Omer was taught the importance of working for what you want, taking care of business in the classroom and staying true to his values. Between attending a Junior College in San Francisco to being selected for the CFL combine during his time at SMU, Omer is now an IT consultant and youth football coach where he is giving back to the sport that taught him so much.
