Someone else is experiencing the feeling of being lost just like you. I'm sure that you can ask people who are close to you and at least one feels the same way.
Feeling lost isn't new to any of us but the loneliness is very much a part of being lost. Some people embrace it and others argue with it. It's a short episode, I'm not even sure why this is here.
What if our purpose is to be a gateway for other people's happiness?
I just have something I need to tell you. I love you.
Apologies ahead for the static and the poor post processing.
How much of our love is just attention? I think it's a good feeling to have, to be paid attention to, someone who is sensitive to your needs, your turmoil.
How much of love is attention to someone else? In Lady Bird, Saoirse Ronan plays an independent Catholic school girl who is clearly looking for something beyond her mundane existence in Sacramento, California. While the movie focuses on her relationship with her mom (played by Laurie Metcalf), I'd like to focus on the core message of the movie that "Love is Attention". I don't have a conclusion, I just have a couple of things to talk about when it comes to relationships especially with friends. If love is attention, does loneliness indicate that no on loves you? Or that the attention being paid isn't digestible for you?
Obviously, we've all had experiences with tough love from our family or friends or some fictional character to which we've grown attached. I monologue about my experience with attention and how I felt growing up in pretty similar situations as Lady Bird herself.
Oh and also, a bit of talk about how poverty and privilege shape mindset and comfort which tempers us to take drastic steps in a direction far from home.
Apologies ahead, looks like I wasn't able to cut out a bunch of static in the cut.
Are there things you want to run away from?
We don't often have a choice when saying good bye to someone in our lives.
Swear on my life this film has so much going on all at the same time. How much do you want to let go of your past? And are you okay with hurting the people you love to get there?
Part two
We all have experiences of suffering which prompt an internal dialogue; a deeply troubling realization arises. What's the point of living? Or rather, what's the meaning behind living with suffering?
I can't tell you what to feel, what to do, what to change about yourself. I don't even have an answer for that. But here, I lay out what I think the meaning of life is. I'll discuss the pursuit of happiness in the next episode.
