What if “Abundant Life” is more than just cheerful religious jargon? Could abundance be a specific dimension of life the can be realized once you discipline yourself to seek it?

It’s probably foolish for someone who doubts the validity of the organized church to offer suggestions about how it conducts its business. But after an attempt to attend a service this weekend, I feel compelled to share how the faithful might emphasize a different brand.

It seems possible to me that much of the rebellion that we observe today may come from an unusual source.  Very few of the structures that modern kids inhabit have the strength of deep roots and long traditions.  Many of the patterns they are expected to fulfill are being made up on the spot by a stressed figure of authority.  Could some rebellion be a survival mechanism practiced by kids who realize there really is no way to successfully play the game they are being ordered to play.

My wife shares an allegory.  Is it about chocolate or something more?  Enjoy the story and you decide.

Has an incomplete definition of tyranny kept us from guarding against any form of tyranny except patriarchal tyranny?
