  • 107 A Pointless Antecdote
    Do miracles happen?
Each person must be convinced of the answer to that for him or herself.
Therefore this story has no point.  I'm not trying to convince you of anything. But I think you will have to admit it is a bizarre story.

  • 106 Enemy Protocol
So many people I meet are wearing themselves out trying to feel a certain way about a certain situation.  I'm not sure that is very useful.  I think emotions are supposed to be a measurement of the situation which guide our action. For example, if you feel cold you could start jogging, turn up the thermostat or put on a sweater. I'm not sure how much utility there is in trying to stop feeling cold.
I think that Jesus suggests a revolutionary psychological approach to the battle to feel a certain way.  This has become my approach specifically to those I dislike (my enemies so to speak) as well as my approach to emotions in general.

  • 105 A doubt full faith
People who have grown up in a religious environment are often afraid to admit the existence of their doubts.  This retelling of the story of the Fiery Furnace was a big factor in conquering that fear of doubt.
(This is the audio of a Youtube video.  If you find my references to my graphics troubling I encourage you to search "Jeremy Davies a doubt full faith" and watch the video.)

  • 104 Understanding the Dynamics of Manipulators part 5 of 5
One day, probably frustrated with someone caught st the intersection of addiction and manipulation, I decided to consider what little I know about manipulation.  As I made that very short list I observed a pattern which I had seen enacted many times in many lives.
I become convinced that manipulation progresses along a very predictable path.  Identifying it early may allow you to combat it before it becomes a terrifying monster living within the structures of the relationship which should be most fulfilling.

  • 099 Satan's favorite Attack
This episode is a story I have shared with several people just this week.  So many people are so quick to feel guilty.  This podcast explains the specific antidote to that pervading sense of guilt.  It is deeply connected to my personal faith.

  • 098 Putterville
I think one of the greatest crimes being committed in our school is the effort being made to protect children from failure.  You cannot protect kids from failure without stealing from them the chance to have real success.   Enjoy this story about a fictional town that almost let that happen.
