It's the long debate between partners with kids about having one person be the stay at home caretaker or having both partners work. It can become a big issue in some relationship as it was in my marriage when our children were little. In this episode I offer some advice that I wish I had been given when we were dealing with these issues earlier in our marriage that I hope people can use now.
In this episode I talk about my experiences with anxiety and how I help my son who struggles with anxiety as well. I discuss how I talk to my son about what he is feeling and how I help him overcome his fears and feelings so he can approach every obstacle head on. In our world today kids have so much to be anxious about... school shootings, social media, pandemic, economic struggles and so much more. For our kids they may not have the skills available to deal with these major issues so talking with them can help them verbalize what they are feeling.
I give a quick Lent update on how I am doing with giving up social media and then discuss how being over 40 makes you feel like you are over the hill and heading no where but down.
