I realize as I get older I spent many years chasing or holding onto the familiarity of the past because it was safe and comfortable. I have also found that as I get older, the only safety and stability I have is in Jesus.  While things change, the Lord does not, He alone is our firm foundation.

If you are a Christian, then you have been given the ministry of reconciliation. This means we need to be ready at any given time to  it only share our testimony but also the message of Salvation. You never know what the Holy Spirt may do though you and what obedience may mean for someone’s eternity.

Psalm 34:18 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

I have read this verse a lot, even recited it in prayer many times and yet, even recently I would wonder why did such and such happen and why didn’t God stop this from happening?  Then I would get angry and get discouraged and stop praying. It wasn’t until recently that I learned there are different types of deliverance not just the Red Sea experience.

It’s one thing to have poltical division, it’s really nothing new but when that division looks like hysteria, panic, or obsession that causes people to sever life long friendships, cause division in families, and even the church, there’s a bigger problem.

For years the movie industry has capitalized on subjects regarding Spiritual Warfare which has left us even the Christian population somewhat desensitized and often dismissing spiritual warfare with a “get over it” attitude.  While we may not see all the special effects of movies like the Exorcist or The Conjuring franchise, demonic influence works in more subtle ways.

As Christians we have a choice, either put up with it or take our Christ given authority over it.  Which do you choose?
