Magi sought Him on a great journey. Maybe their story can help us understand ours a little bit better and we can find the peace that we have been looking for in our journey. The journey to peace starts with the Prince of peace.

If you know Him you can have peace. Peace starts there but Jesus doesn’t want you to stay there:

Christmas at Union | Peace brings Restoration

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬-‭20‬ ‭

Peace brings reconciliation and reconciliation brings peace.

Reconciliation involves forgiveness, but it goes beyond forgiveness. When I forgive someone, there is no guarantee that we will have a restored relationship. It may well be that even after I have forgiven someone that we remain estranged. Reconciliation, however, restores the relationship.

Forgiveness may be one-sided, but reconciliation requires both parties to be willing to participate in restoring the relationship. It is always possible, and expected, for me to forgive. But reconciliation will not be possible if the other party is not willing to participate.

Peace is forgiveness and restoring with:

1. Others (Can I wish them blessings, favor and prosperity?)

2.Yourself (never let me become a spectator but always a participator in worship, serving, giving, and winning souls for Christ)

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭7‬ ‭

3.God (without God we are caught in the sand of dishonor, but with God we are reconciled and place on the Rock)

Anything on this side of eternity (government, money, intellect, success, family, job, friends, etc) will not bring peace, but God is the one that brings peace. Stop saying, “I can’t have peace" because I can have peace. God has a plan. Do not walk in fear. Walk in peace.

How do we have peace?

1. We have peace because Jesus is our Lord

‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭15‬

It’s not what culture says it’s what He says

‭‭I John‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬-‭4‬

When we don’t live by the Word we carry a burden. When we make Him our Lord we live in peace

2. We have peace because we are patient with His promises

‭‭II Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬-‭9‬

‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬-‭22‬

Find the answer in the Word

God is not slack concerning His promise

Yes, Amen, and BECAUSE I SAID SO

If you’d lay aside some weights and sins you can see the guarantee.

3. We have peace because of love

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭39‬

Don’t get so caught up in changing the perception. Learn how to love myself

Jesus loves me. It’s too good to be true. Yes, yes it is

Peace will happen not when you come to grip with sin but when you repent and turn from your sins; you can’t love others without loving yourself

Not everyone needs a key to your house.

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬-‭16‬

‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:17-18

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬

700 years between the prophecy and the promise of the Messiah, don’t give up on your missing peace because what God promises will come to pass
